Most people know what Christians, Jews, and Islamics believe, or at least what their basic belief is, but it seem to me the only people that know what atheist believe, instead of being offended by not being understood, perhaps you should state what atheist believe, state your beliefs and ask how many agree with you, by the way your question has been ask several times and just seems to get negative response.

Where do your feelings come from? And what is the purpose of emotional pain?

If you are an atheist, you believe that this world is the only one there is--that there are no other rewards than earthly rewards. You are born, you live, you die.

What does it matter, then, how you feel, or what other people say? It is all random, pointless, and meaningless to an atheist. There is no order; there is nothing saying that people should treat others a certain way--except other people. And what are other people? To an atheist, other people are sacks of chemicals that came from nowhere and will vanish into nowhere. So who cares about them? What are they worth?

Ethics and morality, to an atheist, are human-created constructs--they aren't divinely inspired, and so there's really no point to being ethical or moral, except for maybe to spare somebody's emotions...but why? If ultimately life is meaningless, if all of our efforts and trials are for naught, if we already have whatever reward we're going to get--that is, if this is as good as it gets, which, to an atheist, it is--who gives a rat's a$$ about the feelings of any one person?

As somebody wisely answered you before I did: You're an atheist. You have no beliefs. You are anti-belief.

It's the way you want it--parched, vapid, and utterly nonsensical to live in any one way, forsaking any other way.

Congratulations. This is what it looks like.

Well, the way you are treated is a reflection of how you treat others.
If you a snooty atheist who goes around saying things like "God's not real and you're an idiot for believing all that Bible junk" then people are probably going to be rude and disrespectful to you.

A lot of people will treat you that way even if you don't offend them, since even the idea of not believing in God is offensive to some and grounds for them to treat you poorly.

Before you decide to embrace Atheism, you have to decide that you are strong enough to handle some criticism and that you truly do not believe in any higher power.

Perhaps you are not an Atheist, but instead a misanthrope?

Well... I guess we Christians could turn that question around back on to the Atheists... Atheists trample Christians trying constantly to get us to sway from our path by questioning our beliefs. (I do understand that not all Atheists do this, as not all Christians act in such a way towards Atheists.) I suppose that Atheists feel that Christians do the same to them, however, most Christians of my acquaintance wont try and beat you into submission, they will simply try and show you the light of God in the attempt of helping you save your soul. It has been my experience (but perhaps I am wrong) that when an individual gets uncomfortable when talking about God and His existence, it generally means that they see that they are wrong in denying His existence, but don't want to have to admit it. Good luck on your search for truth, God bless.

They don't believe in anything so what beliefs do they have.
I guess it's the person instead of the religion when it comes to a atheist. That's really a odd question

your belief is science and that there is no God. why would anyone want to debate or talk about that? it's not really a belief or religion. the word atheist just defines someone who doesnt believe in God. there's really nothing more to say. unless you really know all your science and stuff. because regular people who just say they are atheists and dont know anything about religion or science are not interesting. they spoil it. but if you are one that is educated, many religions would love to debate with you.

God said, "The fool says in his heart,"there is no God."". you believe in nothing , I can't care to agree with that. There is a difference between caring whether you have feelings - and condescending to your state.. Some one has to be the realist, someone has to run the govt. and you surely are not qualified, someone has to make sure law enforcement happens, there are many things that must be done by the adults that foolish children with no moral standards are not qualified to perform..There is a God . There is a Lord Jesus Christ. There is salvation by the Blood Of The Lamb> And, there is a hell.

I agree with the third one, YOU HAVE NO BELIEFS! And it seems to me that atheists treat Christians like little kids who haven't given up Fairytales.

Because it's not a religion, and they don't have beliefs. Of any kind. They don't believe in God or anything else religious.
It's not that you don't have feelings or beliefs - you do - they just have nothing to do with religion.

Of course athiests have beliefs. We rely on science and reasoning to explain things for us. When something can not yet be explained by science and reasoning, unlike the theists who resort to a 'higher power' belief, athiests believe that one day we will be able to explain it by science and reasoning and keep seeking that answer.
