In MS-ACCESS, Both queries and tables are objects.
In ANSI-SQL, queries can be used to create data as:
Create Table a as (Select * from ....)

Queries can be created within an Access database. You can use an Access database to create a table in Excel. And (I could be wrong about this--it's been awhile) I don't think you can use queries to create new data, just to sort data by specific categories.

Table is to hold data. Query is to hold your instructions about the data. Then when you run query, system takes those instructions and present required data. Like a table can store the exam results of a class, with names and achieved marks. then query can present the names and marks of the students with the achieved marks more than a target (say more than 75).
New data ...? No! . But you can save the query results in a table. If you say the query result is new data, then yes.

A QUERIE IS NOT AN OBJECT, A TABLE IS. A QUERIE IS JUST A REQUEST.
