Because Muhammad was a false prophet. Jesus's teachings don't need "fixing" or "adding on" or "correction". The Quran's teachings are often contradictory to the Bible's- one is right and one is wrong. They are not complimentary in any way. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through HIM.

The concepts between the bible and the Koran are so different.

The Koran teaches -
that vengence is in the hand of the Koran believer.
that justice is metered out like you stated above
that Ishmael was carried to be offered as sacrifice by Abraham

The bible teaches -
vengence is in the hands of God
that Jesus honored government decisions with reference to individual crimes
that Isaac was the son of promise carried by Abraham to the alter

Jesus never taught that offenders of the law were to be forgiven.
It may seem that way because of the woman caught in adultry. His point at that time was to let the religious leaders know that we all have the stain of sin and they too should be stoned for the sins they have commited

Jesus Christ is more thana prophet. He is God's only Son, made man, who walked this earth, died a cruel death, and was resurrected to walk the earth again.

Did Mohammed ever claim to be God? No, but Jesus did.

Did Mohammed live on earth again after dying? No, but Jesus did.

Did Mohammed ever claim to conquer death through his own death and resurrenction? No, but you know who did.

As I understand it, Mohmammed was actually a follower of God who tried to call his people back into fellowship w/ God. And somehow as a warrior, he became worshipped and adored, not God. And somewhere along the way the faith morphed into Islam.

Jesus is the antithesis to the world. The world tells us to hate our enemies. Jesus tells us to love them. The world telsl us to stone those who have sex out of marriage (well, not in the USA) but Jesus says whoever is without any sin at all should cast the first stone. Coudl you throw a stone? Nor could I. Jesus tells us that to live, we must die. Living for him means dying to ourselves. How opposite! What does that mean? That is why Christianity is a journey. The more you learn about being Christ-like, the more you realize there's more to learn. And that's ok.

How 'bout an eye for an eye? lol

Seriously, it all boils down to knowing the truth from a lie.

Yeshua (Jesus) is the SON of G-d (Yahweh), His teachings are how to know G-d and how to live, and get to Heaven. ABBA is our Father....actually G-d.

Mohammed is not, never was, never will be a prophet. His teachings are a hate religion and allah is the moon god...actually the devil...

Whenever in doubt, always look to where they place the Lord Jesus Christ in their teachings. Some say just another prophet, some our brother.
Where would YOU place Him? Is He who He says He is or not?

...choose ye this day whom you will serve.

You see, Muhammad is not even in the equation. Moses prophesied about a prophet who would come who is like himself and those who would not listen to this man would be forever cut off from God's people. Muslims believe that Muhammad was the man Moses spoke of.

Consider this; God worked many miracles through Jesus. God worked many miracles through Jesus. Muhammad did not provide one miracle and weaseled his way out of it by essentially saying.., "Uhm.., I don't have to" as if that was somehow good enough.

The Bible records that whoever does not accept Jesus, can not be forgiven their sins. In essence, would be cut off forever from God's people.

Muhammad however, wrote his own book. The Bible and New testament was not written by one chosen individual, but Muhammad did and called it the Quran. Unlike the above -where people are free to accept or reject Jesus, Muhammad tends to kill those who refused Islam and the few who he did not kill were forced to pay a tax (kind of like - I wont kill you if you pay me, even then, I can change my mind whenever I like),

So - if you were to choose based on the evidence given, who would you follow? or at least trust?

I don't think Jesus can be compared with Mohammed. Jesus came to give us a new law in life against the old one in the old testament period. After 500 years what Mohammed did is to bring back the old law making people confused between the new and old laws.

What Jesus ultimately taught is a new law that is simple to understand through few sentences. "Love your God with full heart". "Love your neighbor as thyself" "Do unto others what you would like them to do for you" etc. If we obey these advises the whole world can be peaceful. Whereas, Islam does not allow these in their system. They look at all non-Muslim as their enemies and that is the reason our present world suffers.

You have to remember that the teachings of Mohamed came from the teachings of Jesus

It says the hand, only cut, never cut . There's a big difference. Some in the MEast twist this and think it says to cut off. So many a thief have lost his/her hands/feet due to this misunderstanding.

God does not change. Ever. He can and does change the rules with each religious dispensation, but He never changes. All of His religions are one religion, . The outward expressions and legalities and specific laws and rituals of these religions do differ, but the spiritual teachings never do. Ever. You can cross-reference the Bible and Qur'an 'til the cows come home, and you won't nearly be finished.

Jesus and Mohammed (pbut) were God's Messengers to mankind. Their purpose was to bring people back to God. That's it! Yes, a Holy Book was given to mankind via these two, and they were the Prophet Founders of religions. Remember, all of God's religions are one, unfolded over time. His Messengers instruct people in the best way for them during that particular era. For example... in Moses' time, do you think that the world was ready for inheritance laws that include women's rights to inheritance? NO WAY! Women didn't get a cent, and they had no say in who they marry. They were property, and there was no limit on the number of wives a man could have. She'd have to be "married" to a co-wife whether she liked it or not. Then along came Islam and that changed for good. Women got their rights, and men's limit on wives whittled down to 4. This could never fly in Moses' time.

God reveals Himself to us in His books. He doesn't give it up to us at once, we'd never be able to handle it! He reveals Himself to us piece by piece, giving instruction and laws according to the needs at the time, and according to humanity's ability to understand. This needs to be done bit by bit, 'cause we can't handle all of what God has to say, not in one shot, no way. Thank God He's gentle, lol!

Edit: To the person above, Jesus (pbuh) claimed to be God. Check your records. He always claimed to be SENT BY GOD. Read it again.

Jesus in the Bible was willingly taking on the sins of the world and loved us enough to do it... Jesus in the Qu'ran didnt hang on the cross but swapped out Judas in his place. Id say there's some difference there wouldnt you?
