They are accidents. We all have a chance to get in one every time we leave the house in our vehicle. Why are people using those newspaper clippings as "proof" to weigh down their side of the debate? Is it sad when a family or a cop dies, yes. But it could happen to any of us. I would suggest that you come up with another excuse to cover your racism.

why dont people understand the question? People on this site, in this subject (2 now that I have noticed) are using stories of illegals crashing into citizens as a reason to hate them.

I think being held in cuffs in detention and sent to the border without money and far from home a bigger punishment than paying for the lady's car. Or did you think they escort you in a limo to your house?

why arent most illegals insured? Because most insurance companies require a government issued photo ID. Some places here in St Louis will give insurance to people using their Mexican drivers license.

princess, thank for giving a civil answer, It is not that they dont want to get a license or insurance, it is that they cannot get a drivers license in nearly all states. They can get insurance at only a few of the insurance companies. You need docs, they dont have them. They check your social security number at the DMV.

>Do automobile ACCIDENTS prove that illegals are bad?
No. The sad truth is that people are xenophobic. They are scared of foreigners in their eyes "Trespassing". I believe that illegals are not bad at all. People will do anything to push their side of the debate. In my mind, they should be welcome here.
America was a melting pot in the beginning with all the people coming from Europe, Asia, and other places. It still is today. What people fail to see is that America is still a melting pot and it always will be. We are a mix of so many different cultures that it's impossible to say that America is one race of people. I'm happy that we have so much diverse culture in the U.S. It's nice to see other cultures and learn about them from the people who brought them here.
There are illegals that pay taxes and are like American citizens, there are others that do not because they do not make enough.
I think they should be made citizens, each and everyone of them. Heck, one of them could be the next president! I think it's great that they bring their culture with them. I would welcome them. They come to the U.S. not to corrupt, but to work, raise a family and have a good life. I think we should give them the chance to do that and improve their lives.

Taken individually maybe not, but when you look at the entire issue it is huge.
This type of tragedy occurs all the time especially in border states and you hardly ever hear about them. Racially biased and left leaning news organization often refuse to report these stories. Most illegal drivers are not insured. One of the most common types of "hit and runs" is when an illegal is in an accident with their car and flee the scene to avoid detection. The legal, insured driver is left with no way to recover damages because they cannot find the illegal driver and the auto is not insured. Insurance companies are absorbing millions in claims as a result.
This is in addition to the human loss of life should be added to the balance sheet of the cost of illegal immigration.

This alone doesn't make anyone "bad". The fact that many of them refuse to get a proper license or car insurance just further proves that they have no respect at all for the laws here. They pick and chose which laws they obey. Not only that, they disrespect us and our flag. It's hard to be empathetic with them when they behave that way. You can throw that race card around all you like, I could care less. That's usually the best argument illegals and their supporters can come up with and that's pathetic.

It's not a question of racism as it is of being in the country legally, with all that implies, or being in it ilegally. In one of my driving classes, a lady's brand new Suburban was totalled 3 blocks from her house by an illegal alien who had no license, no insurance and no money. INS deported him back across the border. Now the lady cannot get any money for her car, can't sue, and cannot afford to buy a new car.
If this was you or I who hit her, she could at least sue us and get her day in court.
What do we do when someone who isn't here legally needs medical attention? Of course, we provide it, and that costs the rest of us money...
Most cities provide fireman and policemen based on the number of legal residents of that city. But of course the illegal citizens need those services too, so we pay for them. And their children need to go to school, and they need electricity and water and air conditioning, blah blah blah
I have nothing against any other nationality coming to America. it is what we were founded on and what akes us strong. But do it legally, become part of the community you are in and help support that community...

Nope. I am in the Court Room quite a bit and I have only seen 1 illegal. Well, only 1 that the court knew was illegal. I suspect a few others were, but no one bothered to find out. THey were just fined for driving without a license and sent on their merry way.

This isn't about accidents
It's about illegals driving in our country
without insurance
without drivers licenses
without proper id
because they stole someones identity
and when they crash the car...they just run back to wherever and their victims must incur the cost.
My son was hit by an illegal in Florida...the illegal never showed up for court...he was not insured....he never paid his ticket...he disappeared....same story over and over all over the country..

You don't live in my neighborhood. I am not a racist I just know that there are a lot of illegal people driving without a license in my neighborhood and there are countless accidents caused by them daily. Does this make them bad or just bad drivers?

You obviously don't live in a border state!
If an illegal hits you they have no insurance to cover it either, you get very little from just your own claim to your company.

What it proves is that if we can pass laws to put on safety belts to save lives, we can pass laws to secure our border to save lives from dangerous people. If you think other countries don't do this, your way out of your leauge here.
I have answered this the same a number of times, I don't believe the answers will change.
