Yes, it is a mommy and me class. It teaches your child that the water is safe and fun. Do it! The earlier they learn the better they are. I started my son in swim lessons that young. And I started swim lessons at that age. ( I am 33) . I am pregnant with #2 and I will start this child that young too next summer.

I took all three of my boys to the YMCA and introduced them to swimming very very young. They were ace swimmers by two. I mean ace! They each started around six months. Great way to teach them not to be afraid of the water and what to do to swim if when they do go into the water.

i think u should wait until he's old enough to work his legs good. then go get professial help. learning to swim at a young age is very good. mean while, examine the way he acts in the water. if he likes to play, thats great! if not, maybe he'll become used to the water during the lessons. good-luck!

i took my infant son to swim lessons years ago. it's not like they really learn to swim but they get used to being in the water and it's a fun bonding time together. he has always loved the water and i attribute some of that to the early introduction to the pool and our time together. go ahead, you'll enjoy it and so will your baby. you have nothing to lose.

NO....In my opinion, it's too young. Yes, they were in your fluid filled womb for over 8 months, but if they can't walk and communicate, how are they gonna understand when to hold their breath, etc. Their motor skills aren't even built up yet.
Your call though.
