First, you need to tell some adults whom you can trust. A teacher or guidance counselor at school may be a good person. A pastor in your neighborhood church would also be a good person to see...even if you've never been there before, or believe in religion, it doesn't matter. He or she would be glad to talk with you about what is going on. If they cannot help the situation, he or she can find someone who can.
Second, since you have access to a computer, keyword your local jurisdiction (name of county, city, or township), and something like "health and human services", or "crisis center". I know it may seem daunting, or embarassing, but get over it and do it! Your well being is way more important than your ego right now, or, the opinion of your family and friends.
Take one of these first steps right away. And take this advice seriously - I used to be just like you. I got into drugs, alcohol, and self-mutilation early in my teens. It has been a long battle for me-it almost ended in a terrible fashion, as I became seriously hooked on drugs. It almost cost me my life and 10 years in prison. My life is finally in order, and these days, I wouldn't change it for the world. You can do it, you can make the change. And even though you will find people who will help you, this early stage of simply asking for help is all up to you.

You need to find something else to take your mind off things.
I used to cut myself when I was in high school, my mother didnt actually know until one day I cut up my hand really badly.
It just made her really mad.
The school found out before my parents did, but unfortunately my teachers at the time just sent me to the principals office, and I had to sit there while they berrated me and told me how stupid and immature I was.
Nobody could see it as a call for help.
Even if they had offered to help, my thoughts were so murky I wouldnt have been able to explain what I wanted to say.
If you are on drugs, it might be a good wakeup call to say 'stop'... when taking drugs, I got depressed alot easier.
So in saying that, there is no point to cutting yourself, nobody actually cares, and they are only going to see you in a worse way than you see yourself. Best to stop it now, words have more of a postitive effect than self inflicted pain.
I too didn't want to kill myself, I just wanted people to understand me more, and it was a way for me to be comfortable with my own thoughts... but when others saw me, they took it in a different context.
Try letting your pain out in paintings, or poetry. I always found I was at my most creative when I wanted to harm myself.
At least you can recognise that you need help, there are so many free help services available to you.
Best of luck to you.

Well I know just how you feel now, I used to cut myself back a few years ago. To be honest it was as if I had lost my mind. It was very distressing as my parent don't care on what I need and anything I say it doesn't mean a thing to them. But After cutting myself they will still ignore me. I felt so distress more by this. But way back then I would think and think bout it. It doesn't help even you u're to die in front of them. They would just feel upset and move on with life. Then I calm myself down and think thru on what is wrong in my life and try ways to turn myself around. Well to tell you the truth it just a base fact bout being able to stand up on yourself, If you can't be brave enough to confront your fear then you'll forever be afraid of the darkness which will awaits you.

Have you told your parents that you are cutting (or thinking about it). If you tell them the severity, that might make them wake up and get you some help! Don't minimize your situation; tell people that you feel like you could really hurt yourself and you need help! And be persistent. People go into denial, and don't want to even think that you could be hurting yourself. Maybe go to a friend's mother, who can help you talk to your own parents about it. Good luck, and don't give up, or give in to cutting.

What is the problem. There is much in life that is awesome. Your going through a horrible time. Walk outside & clear your head. Go outside & just walk whereever you want to. Go whereever you want. You are on earth & can do whatever you want to. Look at the sky. Breath in the air. Tomorrow could be different

if you live in the united states your county that you live in should have a mental health/mental retardation office. their telephone number should be your country crisis telephone number, which you could call 24/7 to talk to someone for free and maybe they would have some resources for you to be seen by someone for free. best of luck to you. they may be concerned though why your parent(s) are not getting you help.
