Allah is simply Arabic for God as is Elohim for God. There is one major difference and that is we don't believe in the Prophet Jesus (PBUH) as the Son of God. Neither do the Jews. We believe He is a miracle proving God's existence and Maryam (Mary) is highly revered. The jews, however, slander and insult her. Islam also gives women more respect and sees a woman as her own individual person, unlike Judaism or Christianity. In Islam, a woman has the right to choose anything, whereas in the other two religions she is simply a piece of property whose words hold no meaning and whose vows can be cancelled out by her husband if she is married or her father.

Not at all. There is no "God vs. Allah" 'cause both refer to the same Being. Allah is simply the Arabic word for God, just as Gott, Dio, Dios, Dieu, etc are also words that refer to the same Being.

It gladdens me to see how you think. This shows an open-mindedness, intelligence, and humility that the world greatly needs.

Western folks, let's not trip over "foreign" words. I write "foreign" in quotes because foreign is relative, of course. Arabic speaking Muslims, Jews, Christians, and Baha'is all say "Allah" when they refer to God.

Btw, it matters not whether Muslims think that God has forsaken Jews. Allah is still God, despite what anyone's thoughts are. Some Muslims may think that, but it doesn't mean that it's actually true. Same as the trinity - most Christians believe it, but that doesn't mean it's a true doctrine, which it's not. They see God as triune. They are mistaken in this, but nevertheless, the God of the Christians is still the same Almighty Being.

Btw, Allah/God instructs terrorism. EVER. Let's get the facts straight, Christians, before anyone starts accusing things that aren't true. If you wanna know the deal, then read the Qur'an. Learn some Arabic too, so that you can know the of what's written. Translations are great, but as in anything, things get lost in translation. God's word is something to thirst, so I do suggest learning at least some Arabic, or finding a learned Muslim who can guide you.

Hold your mud. Get the facts straight from the source first.

There are actually three religions that claim their roots are found in Abraham. Obviously, those three are also the most major religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

While they share similar beliefs, monotheism being the most notable one, I think it is inaccurate to say that Jews and Christians worship the same God as Muslims. I believe that Jews and Christians have the same God, but I don't think Muslims have it right.

According to many Muslims that I have talked to, Allah has forsaken the Jews whereas the true God of Abraham said that He would never leave them, even if they abandoned Him. Allah cannot be God because the true God would never break His promise. Or, at least I wouldn't want to serve a God of broken promises.

they are praying to the same God essentially...Allah means God in arabic...but the reason the muslims say Allah and not God is because they believe that Allah has no partners, sons, fathers, mothers, etc. and Allah can not be made plural in any way. God can be turned into God's and therefore indirectly associates other deities of power with Him. I don't know if I'm making sense, but essentially if you don't associate any partners with God in Christianity and you're praying to God, then you are praying to the same God as the Muslims, they just call Him Allah. Do I make sense?

Very. You could say the same thing about Judaism and still be wrong. Jesus Christ is the way. He is the truth. Those two things alone do not wash with the Jewish people or the Muslims. There is a group of Jews that are called messianic Jews who do believe in Jesus. No such counter part for Muslims.

I can't see how anyone could "know" right now. I believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, as do most christians I have met. I have never heard of a muslim that believes that God is a Trinity. But I also believe that we will all find out soon.

I think you're wrong. Allah sounds much different that my God. My God does not encourage homicide bombings, holy wars, or terrorism, and doesn't reward them in heaven w/ 17 virgins (or however many). If the run-of-the-mill Muslim does not either, then it's a shame the Terrorists have hijacked your religion. My God is a God of forgiveness and sacrificial love. Forgiveness seems to be a foregin concept to Muslims. Humiliation seems to take it's place.

You are mostly right. The differences start in the time period of Abraham that's where The REAL GOD stays with the Jews that God later sends his son Jesus to save us from our sins. Muslims God is Satan who is deceiving them into thinking the Allah is the God who wants them to be hate full and kill everybody by blowing themselves up so they can have Virgin wife's in their heaven. Not all Muslims are like this just the radical Muslims. I know I didnt add all the details, sorry its late and Im getting in bed. I may edit later.

Let's say that there was a person called Alexander. You and me--none has seen him. He lived 5000 years ago. You think that he was a stupid person and I think he was quite smart. So, do you and I believe two separate persons? No.
The Jews, Christians and Muslims believe in the same God Of Abraham--but they differ in His nature. The Christians believe in Trinity which makes them separate from monotheist Jews and Muslims.

I pray to the God that loves the Jews and Christians and wants everyone to repent of their sins and follow His Son Jesus... Muslims pray to a god that wants Jews and Christians destroyed and wouldnt have a son. And considers Jesus no better than Muhammad who was 50+ when he married and had sex with a 9 yr old girl

Same God?? I think not.
