I sponsored my brother from Vietnam and he came to the US in June 27, but he has not received a green card yet so far. Will he receive one and if yes how long would it be? When my father's sister sponsored him to come to the US, he received his green card less than a month and it was 10 years ago so I don't know if they've changed in the process. Please let me know if anyone has the answer. Thanks.

If your brother entered with an immigrant visa, the CPB officer stamped his passport with "Processed for I-551". That means that they have ordered his green card and it will come in the mail. In the meantime, he can show that stamp to get a job, to request a Social Security card, to apply for a driver's license, etc.

Yes, ten years ago there were far fewer immigrants and the process worked faster. But his card WILL come. Just make sure he doesn't move from the address on the immigrant visa packet until the card arrives.

Take it up with the agency that your brother applied for a green card. They might have the answers for you and maybe will be able to help you.

I don't have an answer for you, but this is proabably the best you can do. Unless someone else has the inner workings of a green card.
