He already knew the names. He just figured Adam might as well name them he would be the one living with them. Makes sense to me.
Well, actually why you are asking this? He made you. I think if He can create a universe He can read and write. Why do it when somebody else can do it for you? Would you clean your house if you could get somebody else to do it for free?
