Christians do not judge, God does. Our function is to share the gospels according to Jesus Christ. If someone rejects Jesus, we never cut off anybody's hands or head. In Christianity, it is a profession of faith. Also, we do not use scriptures to confuse.

May I ask you a question? Where does correction and advice come in? If I see my friend addicted to drugs - the best thing I could do is tell him/her they need help in overcoming the addiction. If I see another person do something wrong like stealing/cheating/adultery, it would be in my best interest to tell that person to cut it out or else there is going to be consequences to pay. I wouldn't say that I'm judging but rather I'm correcting. A person who hates correction is stupid - that is what Bible says. There is a difference between judging in hate and judging in love. We correct our kids when they are wrong because we don't want them to become a problem for the rest of the world. Kids don't always know what is right and wrong until we make it an issue in their life. They won't know that lying is wrong until their parents tell them or they could find the hard way by lying to someone who cannot tolerate lies. Another thing is that we judge because we don't want you or anyone else to go to Hell. We shouldn't judge in hate. codemning all and esteeming ourselves. But we should help our neighbor as much as possible to do the right thing. The Bible says you shall know them by the fruit they bear. How will you know unless you look and judge? The Bible states what is wrong and right and many of the times we need to be reminded by our family/friends/ and church people what God expects from us. Just because we sin that doesn't mean I close my eyes when you sin - that would be the blind leading the blind. We need to help each other in being the best that we can be for God. No one should make a big deal of your sins to everyone in the world but nor should they let you continue in your sin. Your sin needs to be addressed or else when you will learn what you are doing is wrong?

It seems that whenever one person confronts another person over an issue, the statement "Do not judge!" comes up. Christians are often accused of "judging" in contradiction to what the Bible says whenever they speak out against a sinful activity. However, that is not the meaning of the Scripture verses which state, "Do not judge." When Jesus told us not to judge (Matthew 7:1), He was telling us not to judge hypocritically. Matthew 7:2-5 declares, "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, Let me take the speck out of your eye when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."
In Matthew 7:2-5, Jesus warns against judging someone else for their sin when you yourself are sinning even worse. That is the kind of judging Jesus commanded us not to do. If a believer sees another believer sinning, it is their Christian duty to lovingly and respectfully confront the person with their sin (Matthew 18:15-17). This is not judging, but rather pointing out the truth in hope of bringing repentance in the other person (James 5:20). We are to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). We are to proclaim what God's Word says about sin. 2 Timothy 4:2 instructs us, "Preach the Word ; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction." We are to "judge" sin, but always with the goal of presenting the solution for sin and its consequences - the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

I totally agree with you. Nobody should judge anybody. I've had christian family members judge me in my time and I couldn't believe it. Just like I said to them, take the plank out of your eye, before you take the wee little splinter out of mine. It is easy to judge, I think because thats just human nature. And christians are no different. Some of us try to be nonjudgemental and it doesn't mean because we are christians that we are the only ones that judge. People are people and its just that way. I know no sinless person in this world. I know I try to be a good person, by not judging, etc. But, sometimes we get caught up in the moment and we catch ourselves doing something or saying something we shouldn't. Thank God he is a forgiving God! Hey, I'm not perfect by any means, but, I do try!

I am A Christian and I do not judge. What am I going to gain from judging? Nothing is the answer. I live my life and let others live theirs. I choose my friends like any other person would. Being honest, living a clean life, is in no way judging you or anyone else.

you're right, christians aren't supposed to judge. Christians aren't supposed to lie, steal, or hate either, but it happens. This most certainy doesnt make in right, of course, but making blanket statements about a whole group of people isnt logical. they are not in the will of god.
p.s. the woman in that story was not mary magdalene. mary magdalene was a demon possessed woman who was excersized by jesus and traveled with and served him. The woman in this story is an unnamed adulteress who leaves jesus at the end of the story.

There is a difference between judging and seeing the fruit of a life. If a tree has apples hanging all over it then it is an apple tree. If a life has sin hanging all over it then the person is a sinner. Both are just observations not judgments.

I don't judge because everyone makes mistakes! Nobody is perfect but there are those people that you know are bad influences and you shouldn't hang out with them. What they do wrong is within their heart and not anyone elses they are the ones that need to face the lord at the end!

Christians shoudn't judge, but they do have the right to be fruit inspectors!
The Fruit of the Spirit are: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
All of these traits will be visible in a true, born-again, Bible believeing Christian.
