Why does He not just get tired of the sinfulness of man and just wipe us out?

What does He like?

What does He hate?

And if He does hate things, how can it be that a loving God could hate? Well the answer to that is because of God's very nature. Not only is He loving but He is also holy and just. So, if we do things, that are against his Holy nature He cannot be happy with it.

It has been said:

``These six things doth the Lord hate; yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood.
A heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the Lord.
Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abominations to the Lord."

Ask the Lord to help you follow Jesus and do what God likes rather than what He hates.

LOL I love it how people are telling you to go Read your bible... If they did what they are telling you to do they would know that this is in:
Proverbs 6:15-19

It is good to know that God loves us so much that his love can even out do his hate for sin if we just turn to Jesus!

"15Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.

16These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

What makes God tick? Heh. Human beings don't even fully understand what makes them tick. There's still so much to know about ourselves, our environment, our planet, space and beyond and so on. Not just that but the way we're treatin our planet, sooner or later i shudder to wonder if we'll have a planet. Then there are the ways human beings treat other human beings. I'd try to have a look at all those circumstances and do something abt them first. Then, i'd start pondering the workings of God. For all you know, if you were to look at everything else that's right in front of you, the questions that you seek answers to might be answered within you.

Where did you read that about the seven things God hates? Was it in the Bible? If so, where? I want to look it up and read it for myself.

Wat makes God "Tick"? Us. People, human beings, humanity... we are the reason He is still "ticking" because He never lost hope and believes humanity can change for the better. I'm just wondering why most people don't believe God believes in them and that He's so proud of us no matter what we've accomplished in life.

I'm pretty sure god doesn't tick, since he doesn't seem to be doing a heck of a lot of anything.

"a proud look?"
Hey, God made me the way I am, and i'm proud of it! If He's got a problem with me looking proud, then He's REALLY got a problem.

1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

5. Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

6. Thou shalt not kill.

7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.

8. Thou shalt not steal.

9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ***, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's.
