The fact that the word abortion does not appear in the Bible does not mean that
God approves of the practice of taking an innocent life. In the Old Testament, God
severely judged a king named Manasseh, “because of the innocent blood that he had
shed; for he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, which the Lord would not
pardon” (2 Kings 24:4).
Abortion is not a question of women’s rights, but rather a question of life or
death. Who has the right to make such a decision?
The Bible tells us that God recognizes the unborn child. He speaks of David as
a person before he was born (Psa. 139:13-15). He says that He knew the prophet
Jeremiah before he was born (Jer. 1:4-5). He set the apostle Paul apart for His
service while he was yet an unborn child (Gal. 1:15). If God recognizes a person while
yet unborn, then the practice of abortion is clearly murder.
God treasures the unborn child. “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward” (Psa. 127:3).

AMEN, Preach on Brother. Praise the Lord. We all need to get the word of God out there to the lost and sinners.

You are a religious person who has been sucked into the brainwashing scheme known as religion.

Abortion is a woman's right and it's a woman's choice. Not allowing it takes away rights from women.

Also, the women who would be forced to have these babies would have a terrible life because they cannot support themselves and the baby. I don't want women to be miserable.

There would be more child abuse complaints, more psycho mothers because they can't handle it, and more mistreating of children. Now who want's a child that is miserable and a mother who is miserable because she could not get an abortion because of some jacka** idiot who said no abortions, it was probably a man who proposed it and had no idea how stressful a mother can be.

Point being, the people who are anti-abortion are idiots, sure it's saving a child's life, but what would you rather have if you were in this situation?

You are pregnant, you can't afford to have this child and the father has left for good, you know that if you have this child you will be sent into the world of debt, and you will have a painful life because you cannot give the child what it needs because you cannot AFFFORD it, nor can you take the psychological aspects of it.

You can either get an abortion or you can have the child. Say abortion is illegal where you live. You have the child, you are sent into the world of debt. The child and you are miserable, the father doesn't pay anything and you can't afford food or anything for yourself or the baby. Later, you start doing things that endanger the baby and you are screwed for life with no way out.

-Or-

Thankfully abortion is legal. You get the abortion, years later you have a husband that can support both of you or you can support yourself and the baby, You get pregnant again and have the baby, you have a better life knowing that you can handle it because you are prepared for it, and you have taken the steps not to be sent into poverty. You are happy, the baby is happy, you save yourself a lot of psychological trauma

Think of this, orphanages are going to be overcrowded because mother’s just giving their child away. Crowded orphanages are not the answer, abortion is.

It's the women's choice and taking it away is being unfair and bias against women. It is taking away women's rights.

Your 13 years old and are being sexually abused by a close family member. You just found out your pregnant.

Would you keep it? Have that constant reminder of what happened to you, have that child grow up and feel the hate you have for it and how much you wish it never exsisted?

Someone violated your rights as a human being. This is human nature, its not pretty but its what we have become.

The truth is not every subject is black and white. There are exceptions to everything.
Abortion should not be a form of birth control, I completely agree. But if this was forced upon you, why shouldn't you be able to make the decision.

I hate when people say "its a womans right to choose, its her body" They say it as if its some huge feminist rights act. This has nothing to do with adding some to the list that females have over men. This is a HUMANS right, the right to choose.

Just the way I feel, not forcing my opinion on anyone but just putting it out there!

Abortion is something that I have considered once. I did not even go and make the appointment. I decided that my child deserved to have a life and that if I could not do what I needed to do then there are people who can not have a child and would love to adopt. So now 6 yrs later I could not imagine not having my daughter. I was a newly married person, we were married 3 months. Sometimes people feel they have no other choice, but I definately think that there are more choices than abortion. The question that comes to mind, what if it was medically necessary to save the mothers life? I still do not think I could go through with it.

I believe only in abortions if necessary. When women are raped and come from such an experience bearing a child, I believe it should be terminated at the earliest stage possible if the woman does not want the child. I don't believe that women (for that's what you are when you choose to have sex with a partner) should be allowed to terminate any time they don't want the child. You should take the precautions to not have a child before engaging in sexual acts. But if a woman is raped, she was not ready for a child, nor did she choose to have sex with the man.

Of course, since you have made your own opinions clear, I doubt I'll be picked for best answer because you disagree, but that's okay. I'm glad I got my opinion out there.

I totally agree with you. I hope you don't mind a few more Bible texts.
Our nation is awash with the blood of the innocents that are slaughtered daily.

Duet 21:9. So shalt thou PUT AWAY THE GUILT OF INNOCENT BLOOD from among you, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the Lord.
Psalms 106:36. And THEY SERVED THEIR IDOLS (sex, money, careers, freedom, ETC.): which were a snare unto them.
37. Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
38. And SHED INNOCENT BLOOD, EVEN THE BLOOD OF THEIR SONS AND OF THEIR DAUGHTERS, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.
39. Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.

Proverbs 6:16. These six things DOTH THE LORD HATE: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17. A proud look, a lying tongue, and HANDS THAT SHED INNOCENT BLOOD, 18. An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19. A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Many people that have no problem with abortion would not be able to take the life of an animal, but can take the life of a human.

I feel that abortions are wrong unless the child coming into the world is a serious risk to the mothers health..Or the mother was rapped. However I am not a woman so It is unfair for me to judge a woman who has an abortion. I can't say that abortion is wrong in all circumstances. But if this this is your third abortion and you take it as a joke i think you should have your ovaries removed with a metle spoon while your conscious.

God reconizes it as a new life as soon as the egg is fertilized, when Mary was pregnant w/JESUS she told Mary M. and the bible says John The Baptist leaped in his mothers womb!I think abortion is MURDER,and people who do abort their child will stand in front of judgement one day and have to answer for murder, because of innocent blood shed! If a women does not want a child she should practice safe sex,and learn the methods of birth control,or keep her legs shut!GOD says those who do unto my little ones do also unto me!And yes its a treasure,a miracle, and a reward to have a child!

see i think that abortions are sometimes a necessity as we dont live in the world. there are social stigmas esp in the middle east and rural india about unmarried, teenage mothers who really dont have much of an option. if the world God created was so perfect then illegitimate children would have the same ryts as other ones and not have a tough social life as they do. its a hard decision. there is ryt or wrong about it. if a child is only brought into the world to die of starvation or be beaten everyday or live a hard life in an orphanage as its parents have abandoned him, then at some level it makes u wonder why the child was brought into the world at all...

I don't believe any human has the right to take the life of a child period. It's all in God's hands. If God didn't want the child to be there, it wouldn't be. If there is something wrong with the child and God takes it, thats in his planning. I don't believe in abortion obviously, and I totally disagree when people say its the womans right because its her body. Its not her body, the baby is inside her body, thats all. I say, just leave well enough alone and leave it up to God and God only.

You make some very good points. I was wondering though how you would feel if your wife, mother, sister, was raped? If they had an abortion would you consider it murder also. I mean, if your going to approach it from the stand point of innocent life, isn't the child of rape just as innocent? The child had no choice in who it's father was was. Just curious where you stand on that issue. Also, would you comfortable confronting a woman that had undergone such atrocity's? Just curious where you stand on this. Thanks.
