Yes. Washington, DC is a VERY dog friendly town! You are required by law to keep your dog on a leash. And pets are not allowed in any of the museums/institutions unless they are trained as service dogs.

No problem with walking your pooch on the Mall. It is required that you scoop the poop or the Park Service Police will issue a $100 citation on the spot.

Yes I think so as long as they are on a leash. Just not inside any of the museums or anything.
