It's one of my favorite restaurants. I always get penne pasta with alfredo sauce. All of their dinners include all you can eat breadsticks, plus all you can eat soup or salad. I personally prefer their zuppa toscana soup. It has potatos, italian sausage, bacon, and whipping cream in it as the main ingredients. It sounds sorta gross, but it's very good. The salad is also good. They have a wide selection of alcoholic beverages as well as non- alcoholic drinks. The desserts are also good. Tiramisu melts in your mouth. Also a good tip... If you go in after lunch you can tell the waiter you'd like the lunch portion. You get just about the same amount as the dinner portion, plus the all you can eat soup or salad and breadsticks. The difference is you only pay the lunch price which is a good discount. If you haven't been there yet and you like italian food i'd suggest giving it a try.Hope this helped.

I think the salad is pretty good and I suppose if you've never eaten real Italian cooking then you might think the Olive Garden is the best there is... so wrong though. I'd have to say that the Olive Garden would be the bottom of the barrel. Go for something more authentic. Pick up a Zagats restaurant guide for your city to find a real Italian joint.

The Olive Garden is a mediocre place to eat, kind of like TGI Fridays and other restaurants in that price category. Why go to these places? If you go to a "high end" Italian restaurant you are only going to spend another $5 or so and get a much higher quality food and service. Places like the Olive Garden and Fridays are fine.... if you don't mind mediocrity!

I think the Olive Garden used to be a good restaurant. In the past few years they've gotten cheaper and gone down.
They used to serve golden, flavorful, warm breadsticks in REAL baskets wrapped with REAL napkins. Now the pale, flavorless, oily breadsticks come in fake plastic baskets wrapped in a white paper towel. Their salads used to be big and fresh. Now thelittle bit is sloppily thrown together and drowned in the dressing. Their food is on the saltier and fattier side to make up for more expensive, good quality ingredients.
I used to LOVE going to the Olive Garden when I was a kid, now my family rarely goes - it's just not worth the money. Such a shame.

20 years ago the Olive Garden was great. Now it's just another national chain restaurant.

I love the feeling you get sitting in Olive Garden, even if it is crowded...and it always is!
The food is okay, but the prices are too high for what they are serving. The last time I ate there I ordered something with shrimp and there were four lonely, very small shrimp lost in the sauce. My daughter and I were there for lunch and it was $33.00. I can make the best spaghetti for four bucks. Crazyano!

In my opinion the food is way better than Macaroni Grill. From numerous experience as a chain restaurant and should not be compared to an authentic Italian restaurant.

Salad and breadsticks are good. I have 2 or 3 entrees that I stick to, others are just too greasy. Wine choices and mixed drinks are good.

Not at all!
There are always "Mom and Pop" Italian restaurants to go to that are much better in price, taste and quality.
