I just want to know because my friend said that gelato is made out of it and was wondering if it is any better for you then ice CREAM

Custard is made of eggs, mostly, then depending on the kind of custard milk, or broth, or cream, sugar or for a more savory flavor different seasonings.

Frozen custard is creamier than ice cream b/c there's a higher percentage of fat in it. It's usually not frozen hard, but soft-serve.
