Yes you can litter train a dog, bu thte best time to do it is when the dog is a poppy, very young. it's harder to train a dog to use the litter box as an adult dog, because they have already learned their habits.

I've never heard of litter box training a dog, but it could be possible...however a better idea is crate training...dogs will rarely potty in their beds...so get a crate with enough room for the dog to turn around and when you are not there put your dog in there...

Sounds like she has developed a bad habit. She can be trained too go on newspaper or pee pads if you are consistent about watching her carefully, rewarding her for doing it right, and putting her on the pad right away if you see an accident coming.

I have heard that training dogs to a litter box is harder for some reason.

Try using trianing pads or puppy pads. I have two and when they can't get outside they use the pads. Now that is just for urinating. As far as going #2, you have to earn the schedule. Take her about 20 min after eating and wait until shse goes. Then she will learn the schedule.

Well in my perspective she is too old now to be potty trained, you should have started when you got her, and made sure she stuck to it. She has gotten too accustomed to doing this and I don't think she will stop.
