you're adding hormones to your body when you are on the pill. DEpending on your body it can help w/ some menstal symptoms - like PMS. It may relieve cramps for example. The most common side effects are weight gain - just a few pounds and sometimes people get headaches or get sick (like vomiting). It stops your body from ovulating, so it's really kind of wierd that you are stopping your body from doing something it was made to do, but some of us need it for other things too so we don't get things like cancer.
It's tough being a chick!

The pill, like any other birthcontrol, causes the hormones in your body to rise. Although the patch tends to increase the hormones way more then the pill. The pill isn't suppose to effect much, only that you could loose or gain weight. So all im trying to say is that, she shouldn't experience to many more "crabby" days then what she MAY already experience, and that she MAY loose or gain weight.

It controls your hormones so that you don't have to worry about getting pregnant. You take it for three weeks, and leave a one week gap before you start your next three week course. Depending on the pill, some women gain weight and others loose weight. Some women also take the pill because it helps reduce/control acne, not just as a birth control method. I went on the pill and I lost weight, and stopped getting cramps during my period.

The pills reacts differently to every women who are taking them...some get fat..huge hormonal changes when women use them...
The best thing to do is to consult an OBY GYNE before taking any pills that would in the future will just hurt the woman's body....

It affects your hormones. It just depends...it affects girls in different ways. Sometimes it makes you very emotional, angry, or elf concious...I give you props for at least trying to understand cuz it is a hard thing to go through for a girl. And it really helps for guys to be sensitive about it

Depends on the person. For me it's fine and has no side effects. However some women can experience weight gain and others use it to clear up their acne. I'm sure there are other things i'm just not sure what.
