Some have assumed that the doctrine of the resurrection of the body has served to restrict Christians from the practice of cremation. This is not the case. Once the spirit returns to God (as Ecc. says) the body is lifeless . James 2:26 says "For just as the body without the spirit is dead..." When this happens the body begins its return to its original elements.
Whether the return is the slow disintegration of the body through the process of decay or is achieved in seconds by fire, the result is the same--the return of the body's elements to their original state.
In the resurrection it will be raised a spiritual body (1 Cor 15). It makes no difference how those elements returned to their original state.
We are taught in the New Testament, largely by example, to exhibit proper respect for the dead and to deal with them in dignified and respectful fashion. Cremation is a respectful way to deal with the dead.
I believe this is an aesthetic problem rather than a biblical one. It will likely be resolved on emotional and philosophical grounds rather than moral ones. Cremation violates no New Testament principle

Well, cremated or rotting in the ground, either way there will be no body left after some time. A human body, skeleton and all will completely breakdown after about 13 years, unless some strange natural occurrance preserves the bones. So either way there is no body to bring back. Which should help point to the fact that resurrection is a myth, and is impossible. Would you really want to be ressurrected with a rotten face and limbs anyways? Time to stop believing in fairytales.

For resurrection you would not need all parts of your body as at the time you died. Just a single cell would be enough for that purpose. The cloning proves that but the scientists cannot get back the same soul and spirit into the body. You will have your soul and spirit as you were living in the world. Just remember, nothing can harm the plan of God.

I don't believe it does. So long as it does not demonstrate a denial of faith in the resurrection of the body, you are OK to be cremated. (This is actually a catholic teaching). Just think of the people who died in a fire or some other tragic accident and they have no body to bury. I'm positive God will reunite your body and soul again. But that is for Him to know how.

I am a muslim, and in our Quran it says that no matter what, you will be put back together and brought back to life to face judgment. But being all together in one spot certainly does make it a whole lot easier, doesn't it? That, and science has proven that the body can feel everything that happens to it after death, through the nerve endings. The difference is that you can't MOVE to stop it. You can just lay there. So, would you rather feel cold in the winter and a little bit hot in the summer, or feel burning constantly forever? Besides hell, I mean, if that's where you're going.

First off I believe that the soul leaves the body upon death. As for the cremation, God will re-fix your body. Like the saying goes, "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust." Not to be morbid, but what about those who have died in fires? Those bodies usually become burnt and turned to ash. Do you think God would punish those who have burnt bodies in fires to not be risen? No. All bodies after death go back to the earth. Those bodies will also be fixed. As long as you do right by God, you shall be risen.

The Bible says we will get new bodies and new names. Else, how would victims of fiery plane crashes, or people looooooooooong dead be resurrected? Cremation will have no effect on resurrection. The state of your soul, however will have an effect. If you haven't accepted Jesus, yet, today's a
good day. ;-)

I personally believe it makes no difference what happens to this body ...the Bible says we will have a new body. I come from a very conservative background. My Father pastored a fundamentalist church for 50 years. I am still very conservative in my views but I have learned to be open minded. My wife intends to be cremated and I intend to be buried but I believe we will meet in heaven. What about people who have been burned to death not of their own choosing..will they not be in heaven..of course they will. The only one who can answer your question with complete satisfaction is God...ask him and I think he will give you the peace of mind you are seeking.

No.
Do not worry about cremation.
Think about this, when one dies that person eventually decays and becomes the dust of the earth. When you become cremated, all that is happening is that the decay process is accelerated significantly.
