If you are on the points plan, you have 35 extra points a week to eat (and I recommend that you do that because otherwise your metabolism slows too much). But let's say you're supposed to eat 25 points a day and you've gone over your 35 points extra -- just reduce the number of points the next day by how many you went over.
Weight Watchers works, and it really is being pretty strict about the points that makes it actually work. Make sure you're writing everything out. Good luck!

If you cheat on your diet one day, just get back on track the next day. I think everyone has a day where they cheat a little. I'm on the slimfast program and doing good, but sometimes I find myself cheating a little, I pick up where I left off and maybe exercise a little more harder the next day.

Well don't you have weekly allowance points? If you're not going over your daily points AND your weekly allowance points, you should be fine. If you're just going two points over your daily allowance, those can count towards your weekly allowance. I almost always go 2 points over every day, but I work out a TON so I am able to swap them out.

remember...there are the bonus points each week. You can use them a little each day, all at once, or not at all. So don't sweat it if you only went over by a little....no biggie. Keep up the effort....I know you can do it. But remember....anything worth doing, is worth doing right...it isn't easy, so stick with it.

You have weekly points to use....take them off those. I went through the program and couldnt deal with sticking to it, due to other problems.
