Haha i knew that would get your attention. sry i lied. ok i just moved to a new school and im kinda shy (kinda as in i dont talk to ANYBODY and only smile, nod, or shake my head when someone says somethings to me. im not really worries about friends at this point (i usually make friends pretty fast when i open up) but i wanna get a bf split. i want the right guy but i dont want to end up being the new girl whos going out w/ the geek. How do i open up to a guy w/out fully blowing my shy cover up? and i cant just not be shy, doesnt help. i need advice!!!

First of all, and I know you probably don't want this said, but you shouldn't worry about the geek thing. If you have fun with somebody and enjoy their company, you shouldn't worry about what other people think of them. Sometimes all a person needs is to be seen by one person as signigicant or special and other people will start to see them that way too. And because I don't want you to think that I don't sympathize: Make sure that you pick the right person... Watch in classes and see who you would be interested in. Play to their strengths. If they're smart, see if there's a class that you have trouble in that they are really good at... but don't lie about being being smart or dumb!!! If they're a jock, are you interested in sports? Do you like photography? Take pictures at a game and give some of the players (including that person) some of the pictures. Just don't act like you're into something that you're not. If you don't get along being who you are, you're not gonna be together long. Good luck... I hope it helped.

If I were you I would check out all the guys in the school before I decide on a bf. That way you can feel out the guys in the school and know which one is the geek and which one is the jock. Then I would study the one guy that I wanted and find out what he likes, where he hangs out and what classes he takes. Then I would find a moment when he and I are alone and start talking with him about something he likes.
