Unwanted thoughts cannot be sins. In order for something to be a sin, there has to be intent on the part of the sinner. If a random bad thought pops into your head and you try to get rid of it, the thought is not a sin.

A priest once told me that it will almost always feel as if you gave consent to the thought, but in reality recognition of the thought is necessary before you give consent.

Bottom line: Thinking something bad is only a sin if you intended to think something bad.

Stray thoughts and temptations are not sins.

Sinful thinking is deliberately letting your thoughts dwell on the sinful subject.

Sin is a deliberate thought, word, deed, or omission contrary to the eternal law of God.

With love in Christ.

Do not believe something simply because you have heard it. Do not believe anything simply because it has been handed down for many generations. Do not believe anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe anything simply because it is written in Holy Scriptures. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of teachers, elders, or wise men. Believe only after careful observation and analysis, when you find that it agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all. Then accept it, and live up to it.

wise and christian is an oxymoron. if you were so wise then why do you believe a dead guy will save you when he couldnt save himself? why do you believe in a book written by sheepherders that were not even first person? why do you believe that a desert religion made by ignorant people has all the answers? Islam came from christianity and they are both morons.

well, it is still a sin and it still needs to be forgiven, you have to learn to protect your mind from the devil and evil thoughts. one way to work at it is to pray often and ask god for help. it is however very dificult to keep thoughts like that out. another thing you could do is say something like"no satan get out of mey head", or "no im not gonna think like that."
God Bless!

The bible said you should fill your head with thoughts of the lord, who he is, what he's done, what he's going to do. Pray and read scripture often. Nobody's perfect and we have to accept the fact that we're going to sin, but Christ's blood is sufficient.

theres no such thing as a wise christian. get your head out of your butt, christianity was started by people that want control of you and your actions. as you can see from history things dont always work as planned. THINK FOR YOURSELF AND QUESTION AUTHORITY.

As soon as that thought comes in, say "Go away, in the name of Jesus." and Ask God to take it away.... He will
and He will know that you pushed it away instead of run with it.
