I am fairly new to the whole photography/photoshop thing. and very self conscious about it this is a picture of my brother. I took the picture and photoshopped it. I would like some honest opinions on this picture and tips on how I can improve my technique. THANKS http://pics.livejournal.com/ambersan01/pic/0003gfwx/g18

Some of the most beautiful pictures are taken from the side or the back. I realized accidently one day when I was looking at a picture how nice those pictures can be. I have a picture of my 6 year old son holding his Dad's hand from the back. It shows this special relationship and bond that they have with one another. It also shows a special time in their lives. A picture can say a thousand words. I love photography. Keep pursuing your dreams. That is what I see when I look at the picture of your brother looking off into the distance. I see a boy with so many hopes and dreams as he is looking to the future.

It is a very good picture and your brother is really cute! I think though it kinda looks like you pasted him on to the backround when he is the only color I think if you added some more color in the backround or else made him the same color it would be better but it is a great picture anyway!

thats some pretty good photoshoping for a beginner. Just keep practicing and mess with some of the tools more and after a while youll see how good youve gotten

Good job, but I'd crop it just behind the little boy. That way, he has a place for forward movement, and it cuts out some of the background clutter.

omg it's so pretty, you did a good job, it would look nicer if everything was black and white and your brother was the one in color
