It really is a lame break up. They are just too scared to tell them why they do not want to continue the relationship for fear they might go off the deep end on them.

Both guys and girls do this. This isn't gender related. My favorite break up line in the whole wide world is, "You're too nice" LOL

As far as work getting in the way of persuing a relationship. I would quit my job and find something else before I deprive myself of personal happiness. If I am that dedicated to work, it is because I own it.

If it isn't happing for you anymore, just tell them. But do it in a respectful way like, "This isn't happening for us anymore" or the like.

He could really be telling the truth but personally I think he was just trying to find anything to say so they could break up.Your friend should be thankful because he could have just quit calling and she would still be wondering what happened.Tell your friend regardless of whether he was being truthful, life goes on.

That he is not ready for what she wants... commitment. He is committed to his goals or still wants to do things he has not done yet or he is just no as interested and wants to move on. Sorry, it happens. Then again we don't know the person either.

A lame excuse which could possibly mean: "You are not interesting for me anymore... I don't like you and I want to cut any ties we have before... It's kapish and the end!" That's simply it...

he said what is said because he didn't have the balls to say that he doesn't want to see or go with her anymore.
