I met this girl a few weeks ago. I "fell" for her almost immediately and sent her flowers. She thanked me, saying it "made her day" etc etc. She asked me why I sent it and I said I had no idea and that I was "retarded". Since then even though I do not meet her often she always made conversation, waved etc etc. Then all of a sudden ( 2 days ago) she just started ignoring me. Wont even say Hi. And when I called to speak to her roomate she was really blunt. Aka "hi and bye". Iam still crazy about her but I fail to understand this complete change in behaviour. Is she mad at me for something I did or did not do?

yeah the "retarded" thing was def. a miscalculation on my part. But why be nice to me for 2 whole weeks? and iam def. not a stalker on the contrary i try to avoid her because i so scared i will say something more retarded.

Call me crazy here, but just maybe the answer to question of why is she acting like this lies in the way you answered her question of why you sent the flowers to her.
What girl or woman wants to hear the answer to her question of " why did you send me the flowers" be ohh i have no idea and that im a retard......honey what kind of answer is that to give a girl you say you are crazy about......its not a very good one and she is probably thinking based on your answer that you arent serious about liking her.
My advice to you is this.......if you are still crazy about her then write her a letter or try calling again and explain to her that you are sorry for your answer and that you were nervous because you liked her so much......then you tell her that you sent the flowers because you care about her and like her alot and was hoping she would go out with you.

The could be reason is that you obviouslly like her but you don't have the courage to tell it... She asked you why you gave her the flowers... That is a signal that she may have an inkling that you liked her and had her hopes up... Then you lamely replied that you don't know and maybe you are retarded... That last statement alone could have made her feel bad... Imagine... A 'retarded' (as you put it) like her?! Be sensitive here...
That's all I could think of... Or that she probably think that you are not anymore interested... Maybe you are giving her lame replies during your conversations with her... That is a major turn-off... She could've found a more interesting guy who is also intersted in her...

I think when she asked you why you sent the flowers she was looking for something more along the lines of "Just wanted to make you day" or "Because I care for you" not b/c you are RETARDED. She probably thinks that you meant it was a mistake to send them or that there wasn't any feeling behind it, when it was. Just give her a note or something clarifying the situation. If she still doesn't respond after that, you blew it altogether or she was never interested from the start.

Why did you say you were retarded to send her flowers? You could have said that you did it because you like her a lot and you thought she'd enjoy the flowers as your way of saying that you like her very much. Maybe she's came to believe you are a retard (literally retarded),so she wants nothing else to do with you. And maybe you should send flowers again and say that you did not mean what you said about being "retarded".

All you can do is ask. Maybe she thought you were sending flowers to apologize for something you did wrong...sort of a make up flowers.... ?? She may now be making up reasons why you sent the flowers...you said you were retarded. Perhaps she thought you were retarded whenyou did something wrong. (like I was out of my mind...and did not say why you were bad and did something retarded) ...not you were retarded as a joke for you did not have a good reason to be nice.... check this out....

Prolly when you answered her with the "I'm retarded" that's what did you in. That was a major mistake. You should have said something sweet like, "I sent the flowers because I wanted to make you smile, you're beautiful when you smile." When you answered the way you did, you acted like a little kid.

why dont you ask her? how is anyone else supposed to know the answer to that?
In my opinion anyway, she is now seeing someone (which means you missed the train)
or
she has the shits coz you still havnt asked her out.
stop playing games and be a man, ask her if she wants to see a movie sometime or go for a coffee.
