I'm proud of them! They commited a sacrifice for their lord and savior. I'd rather accept death than lie to myself and to my beliefs.

Jesus is not, never was, and never will be a myth. There are more than a billion adherents to christianity around the world. No 'myth' has ever drawn a ten-thousandth that much support or believers.
Jesus was always the truth, and there is actually a fair amount of evidence from the bible, historians, artifacts, etc. People have started to question Jesus recently due to the rise of secularism. People think that anything incomprehensible cannot possibly be true. If we travelled back in time and told Galileo that many years after his death, we built a giant tube that took men to the moon, he would NEVER believe us.
Similarly, if in 50 years the rapture and tribulation occurs, we will believe it after we have seen it happen, just as we believed the moon landing, we will believe in Jesus. However if someone travelled back in time from the rapture and told us about it, we (excluding Christians) would call him crazy.
But of course disbelief in the moon landing would have no consequences. On the other hand, disbelief in Jesus holds the greatest consequence possible: eternity in hell, without God. Just as the moon landing would be incomprehensible to Galileo, so would Jesus Christ be incomprehensible to many people today. I hope this gives everyone a new perspective on Jesus.
Each one of those 33,000 people who were killed in Mexico died in the name of God. They are in Jesus and God's presence now, in heaven, and in paradise.
BTW - I am aware of the various theories that the moon landing was a hoax. Let's just pretend/assume it was real for this anecdote, okay?

Roman Catholics believe that Jesus is the only Lord and Savior. If the people in Chumula Believe different than this they are heretics and should be excommunicated by the Roman Catholic Church.
There is no Co-redemptor or Co-redemptress in Catholicism only the Triune God. We believe that saints can intercede for you in prayer while they are in heaven but they are not worshiped as we worship God.
Check the Catechism at USCCB.org
Whoa there Michelle I don't think Hitler could even say the word: Jesus, he certainly did not kill in Jesus name. He killed 7 million Jews and 6 million Christians. So don't even go there.

He could be. Faith is like playing a helluva game of Roulette. You place you're bet, and either you're right or wrong. Now, if these people were right and Jesus does exist (not saying he does or doesn't, I'll leave that for all you fanaticals) then they probably have the highest honor in his eyes for putting their beliefs before their lives.
On a philiosophical note, religion gives people something to hold onto. Without hope, what do we have to look foward to?

Jesus isn't a myth he is alive. We as christians know that we will be persicuted just as he was. This is something that we accepted when we accepted Jesus as our lord and saviour. When you know Jesus thats what makes the difference. There are many christians in this world that have to meet underground and its for those people that we must pray for. Those of us in free countries are blessed and have to remember our brothers and sisters that don't have that freedom.

Why were millions of Jews killed by Hitler for not believing in Jesus? So what if he was a myth or not. If he wasn't, he was a great guy who did great things who has fooled the world for 2006 years.

Possibly. The story of Jesus is not unique or original. Research Mithra and Horus. Mithra is almost point for point like Jesus, 600 years earlier.

Hey dude this is 2006. You wake up after a coma or something?
And since when does being a victim of violence justify a belief?
If that is the case then the Jews win.

Jesus of the New Testament never existed. He was a creation of the Christian church to sell Christianity. There were similar tales before Jesus. Christianity adopted lot of pagan ideas, stories and practices and made it their own.

If I am understanding your question right, the reason they were killed is because they believed! They held on to their faith. I only hope I can be the same, if something liked that happens in my lifetime. Jesus is very much for real!!!!

No He's not a myth. Why would perfectly sane people die for something the thought and knew is fake. Jesus is real.
