Would you take the time to read a novel written by a 15 year old and a 13 year old? My cousin and I are writing a story that is starting to become very good. The plot and characters are very put together and I think that it would actually become something if people would still read it after he/she saw that it was written by a 15 year old and 13 year old girl. I just want to know if I am wasting my time or if this is something that could really turn out good.

You are not wasting your time! When I was in junior high I used to write short stories, and I even entered a contest and won a prize. Even though my stuff never got published professionally, mostly because I didn't push that hard for it, my friends absolutely loved my stories, which gave me a lot of satisfaction.

If you submit your work to publishers, you don't have to tell them your age. There are many good books on how to get your work published, but it's not easy. Even if all it becomes is a creative and collaborative effort with your cousin, it is still worthwhile. I think what you're doing is great, and I commend you both for it.

im 21 and i still have a hard time getting people to read my book. But as long as your having fun writing it, that's all that matters. Plus the pride you get it every time you see, even jsut one person read it and enjoy it, is awsome

the age of the author(s) doesn't matter. if the story is good, it's worth a read. if it's even close to being good, they should be encouraged at such a young age. i don't recall too many prize winning authors at such a young age, but many started at that stage.
