Right now my hair is about 2 inches, maybe. Actually, it's probably more like 3 inches. I don't know. Anyways, my hair is really, really curly. It's a little bit on the dry side, too. It's so long now that it looks kind of messy. I push it to one side, so it's sort of like a side-part-- just not as nerdy. I'm kind of bad at describing stuff, if you cannot tell. Anyways, everyone tells me that I should get a haircut. Everytime I get a haircut, it ends up all short and ugly and I always regret cutting it. However, it's summer and I go swimming everyday. It's very annoying when I come out of the water and my hair is over my eyes. My hair has never been this long before.
So, do you think that I should cut it? I just got over a hair-gel phase, and I'm really enjoying my freedom from any form of hair products. If I cut my hair, I'm afraid I'm just going to end up saying "Why did I cut it?" Should I cut it very short? Should I keep it shorter so it's still a little long but managable?

Throw some gel in it and don't part it. That's a no no. Longer hair is in right now.

personally i like long hair on guys. Though i am not completely against wearing it short. For some it looks better short and i can understand them having it cut. However i think your hair sounds pretty, dare i say hot. If i had your hair i would probably just use a moisturizing agent. I did notice that you sounded displeased with your hair. Well don't keep it long just for me. Its your life, your head, your hair. If you would be happier having it short go ahead. You could try a new place, perhaps. Maybe actually go to a salon where you might find some one that knows how to deal with your type of beauty.....I mean hair. Best of luck whatever you decide.

You need to go to a really good barber, and discuss your options with him. Get it cut, coz it will keep your hair out of your eyes. If you have some kind of soft, layered cut, you won't need to use hair products.

Guys use straighteners too. There is a slim one from ghd especially made for short hair - perhaps on a night out you could straighten your hair?

My husband doesn't use hair products, and his hair is fine. Some guys' hair goes curly when it's too long, but kept short it remains straight. Good luck!

If you are a guy, try going to a beauty salon instead of a barber and maybe they can cut your hair so the curls are more managable.

It sounds like you need a good cut from someone who knows how to cut your hair type. I think you should get it trimmed and shapped, but long enough that it can still be cool and fun.

Let it grow! The longer it gets the easier to tame those curls. You can have it straightened at a salon and or put in a pony tail.

You aren't Andy, are you? I swear, I worked with you.....

Cut it, but don't go too short. Tell the stylist (or barber, if you prefer) to only take an inch off.
