In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.
Love and blessings

PLease read this scripture and you will get a better understanding of God's opinion of those who sin and are your enemies.
1 Corinthians 5
1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. 2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. 3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. 6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? 7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. 9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Jesus is not talking about Satan. Though, we are to wear the armor of God recorded in Ephesians 6 regarding spiritual wickedness in high places.
The Lord God said to not have any God's before Him. Satan tries to get us to commit idolatry. We are suppose to love neighbors as self. Satan tries to get us to hate our neighbors. Satan will use other people to tempt or hurt us. Those are the enemies we are suppose to pray for, love & forgive.
One must love the person who hurts her/him over the devil who is a stronghold in that persons life. And pray for person to have deliverence from the bondage of Satan.
What God tells us to do is to submit to God, resist Satan & Satan flees. Choose to obey God, don't yield to Satan's temptation. Satan gets scared & runs. Read Revelations 20 to find out Satan's end.

the scriptures tells us that we to forgive and love each other (people). not something demonic and that continually does evil. Read the whole bible and you will see the scriptures are speaking of forgiving and loving people ...
Our example is Jesus who forgave the people who did him wrong.... there's nothing found in the bible where Jesus forgave demons.... why? because they had been judged by God and cast out of heaven along with Lucifer(Satan) ---

Jesus goes on to say that if someone strikes you on the cheek -- turn the other cheek. He also directs us to go the extra mile. In cultural context, Roman soldiers could ask non-citizens to carry their backpack a mile according to Roman law. Obviously, Jesus was speaking about human beings and not spirit beings when you read the Scripture you quoted in context.

We are human beings interacting with human beings. Satan's interaction is one sided and attacks us through our minds (addictions, temptations of lust, theft, etc).
God deals with him in the end.
We are certainly not to love Satan nor desire him in any manor shape or form. You manipulation of the scripture may make sense to you but does not apply to our actions with beings we have no direct dealings with. We are not supposed to embrace false teachings taught be demons or angels lest we be caught up and anquescent to rebellion against God.
HOWEVER - the Bible does warn about speaking evil about celestial beings of which we know nothing about. The only thing we can say (as in the example given - scripture below) is to cite what God says about the Satan - and not bring false accusation against the Devil. Satan gets blamed for things we ourselves do often enough as if he is control of making us sin - and he is not.

even the angel gabriel did not mess with satan, he just said "TheLord rebuke you, satan." He is evil incarnate and we are ordered to have nothing to do with him, we are comanded to hate the sin , love the sinner.. Satan IS the sin..and we do not pray for him, except that the Lord keep him at a safe distance away from those we love..

i don't care for Satan. i don't really like him, but everyone has something good about 'em. i just don't know his goodness yet. it's hard to judge Satan if i don't know him or have met him. i can't honestly have any opinion on him if all i know is other peoples opinions and what books say about the guy. so..how can i love or forgive him? actually, based on whatever, i don't think i love him.
is Satan a guy, a girl, a he/she, or neutral?!

Sorry, but I am only human, and I have a very strong dislike for Satan, He is a liar and a cheat and he has lead so many away from God. Granted, people have their own free will to follow, but it really ticks me off to know that Satan has called My God a liar.

Satan had no one to tempt him to be evil, it was his own idea to mess with God's kids. As a parent, I can tell you, that'll really piss you off...and I'm sure God feels the same way.
It isn't really about whether or not I can forgive him, it isn't my business. It is between Satan and God, and I'm staying out of it, and avoiding Satan!
