I couldn't agree with you more -- I like the article you referenced.
I just posted a question about using DDR (Digital Dance Revolution) as a form of exercise, hoping to find out if there is more music out there than just today's pop or hip hop.
Anyhow, I agree with you comment -- duh, move the body, quit eating junk ... sounds simple, but is hard if people can't get the first few days behind them and change their inner thinking aobut healthy eating rather than weight loss.
People tend to want a quick fix ... or just plain can't think of anything else other than their body image these days which I find sad... thre is so much else to do with our time than worry about our looks -- health, yes, but simply size - no.
additional comment -- now you got me thinking of many other questions of this nature .... my boyfriend cheated on me, what should I do? I may be pregnant ... blah blah.. what should I do? I need a job... give me a break ... what should I do?

unfortunately advertising has led many folks to believe that weight loss is a product or something that can be bought or you have to follow a certain diet. capitalism is happy but i am sad. not everyone knows what you know so you can educate them by answering their questions. I have noticed that i almost never get 'best answer' with my weight loss answers.

I know how some people feel, like I have a weight problem and my roommate keeps eating candy, ice cream and so on in front of me. You know how the mind works, monkey see, monkey do. So I have told him to stop it for so long, that it doesn't bother me anymore. No sweets, no cigarrettes, no alcohol, and hiking 15 to 20 miles a week, that's how I keep control.

YES!
Like I said before, it's the "same ole diet and sports thing" lol. Facts probably won't change and they're not hard to understand either.

Ugh - I agree. And the "How do I *loose* weight" ones are even more annoying. Does the search box not work? Do they not know how to scroll through the pages to see the 70 times that was answered last hour? Please.
Eat less. Eat better. Exercise more. Done.
