I am not asking if Satan rebelled against God or something like that.
I am just asking if Satan recognize the existance of God that is if He is a theist? Or is Satan an ATHEIST?
We know Satan had conversation with God. You cannot deny the existance of someone you have atleast conversed?

Seems to me, that having a f2f conversation and relationship with the Almighty makes satan a "theist". He (and the rest of the demons) definately know God exists.

On the other hand, satan and Co. don't seem to believe that God should be in control of their existence, and are currently at war with Him and all of the rest of His progeny. That would make them Anti-Theists (against God) or A-Theists (No God).

So, both, in a way.

satan has to report to God in what he does. satan is not a free agent just running a mock he roams the earth going to and fro and he talks to God. satan gets to much credit here on earth...see he cant make you do a thing all he can do is put that idea in your head and once you receive it you will either do what he said or not.hes a maggot that's rolls on the ground..one snake lower then a snake belly's he is and he brings a lot of stuff in people lives and GOD will use these things to draw us closer to HIM. God will get the glory one day for every knee shell bow and we will all confess the He is LORD and you can do it now or later. later is too late now is the time to ask Jesus in your heart because time is going so fast and our LORD will come soon and if you are not ready then you cant say ill get ready then or after He comes it will be too late......satan tried to become like GOD and that was wrong so he got thrown out of heaven...one of Gods most beautiful angel.....an angel of music......read JOB in the bible in the 1 st chapter you will read where God ask satan whats he has been doing and then told satan to have his way with Job but do not kill him and in the end of the bible it says "42 11 {parts}" and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him" see you can only understand the bible if you are a child of GOD its our word from him to us....so ask Jesus into your heart and then pick up the bible and it will becomes a book of living water in your soul.....GOD bless you Jesus freak

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

You have touched upon one of the more profound mysteries of our times, and the answer is, of course, SATAN BELIEVES IN GOD, for just those reasons which you have already mentioned. That is the joke of "Atheism", that those who are forced to accept their own stupid logic, are also denied a champion. Because, if there is no God, there can be NO SATAN. Oh, that's right, the humanists are OK with that. Eagle.

if you believe in the existence of SATAN, or LUCIFER, or BEELZEBUB... then the existence of GOD you believe in too...

all we know about SATAN and GOD are taught to us while we were young... believing in it, however, is another thing. here lies the unending debates, arguments, discussions...

if GOD is all good, then there must be a counter-balance, right? evil must have a leader.... God leads the righteous, Satan the evil... if GOD existed, so does SATAN. if there is good in the world, evil must exist too...

for one cannot exist without the other...

oh, and one thing, Satan is neither an atheist or theist... he believes he should rule the world and not GOD. (as what was taught to us)

Yes Satan believes in God.He thought he could over throw God because he was so close to the creator. He had a third of the angels go with him in a rebellion against God.They knew God too. That is how deceitful the Devil is.When he was cast out of Heaven he became the prince of this world.

Satan was God's brother, so yes: he knows God is real. Satan also is NOT atheist: he's a proficent deceiver. Atheists are NOT necessairly Satanist, they simply care NOT to believe in God OR Satan.

Satanists however, DO hail the Devil and turn their backs on God.

Satan not only believes in God but he knows more about Him than any Christians do....save for those who are already in Heaven. To deny God's existance would be to deny his very own existance.
