It is probably a 60 day trial of Office. Look in the documentation that came with your computer for the product key. After the 60 days are up, you will either need to purchase Microsoft Office, or use a free alternative. The best free alternative is Open Office. It is available at http://openoffice.org

supposedly if the microsoft office come with your comp, they should give you the installation cd as well. then u look up for the product key on the cd(usually it is on the cover, or inside a booklet). key in and install. if you do not have the product key, check with the dealer that sold the comp to u, see if the microsoft office is inclusive in the comp package.

They gave you free use for a little while and eventually, you'll have to buy it or uninstall it. There should be a link to take you to a microsoft site where you'll use a charge card to buy the MS Office and then they e-mail you the key. That's how it usually works with new computers..... unless you purchased MS Office.... then the key should be on the CD that came with your computer. It's common for new computers to come with MS works and a trial for office. Office is very expensive - so sometimes cheapter to buy off e-bay.... however some prices have come down... so check the microsoft site.

If you have the microsoft office CD cover the product key should be written on it. Failing that you could just download Openoffice, it's pretty much the same as microsoft office

The product key is a number found somewhere in the packaging. Go through it and find the number. Then input the product key. If you can't find the product key, go back to the store where you bought the computer and complain. Have them locate the product key.

Well, if you bought the computer from a vendor like Dell, Acer, etc, they'll provide you with a package containing the CDs and licenses for your Microsoft Office. It's essentially a little greenish-looking sticker with the product key on it.

Look on the back of the jewel case that the CD came in there should be a sticker on the back with a number you need to enter into the on screen form...Check you invoice and make sure you actually bought and paid for the software (the license)...if not try the above excellant suggestion for free office type software from KMillard.(above)

You need to double check all the paperwork you received with your new PC. If no product code, maybe the store where you bought it can help you. If no good, check with the computer company's tech support. If still no go, you are probably out of luck.
You can download Open Office, a free office suite which can do 99% of what MS Office can do and is 99% compatable. (Go to openoffice.org)
Good Luck,
