Yes. When I got my tetnis, I could barely move my arm for about a week. Make sure that you drink tons of water, and you can take advil every four to six hours. Hope you feel better, hun!

maybe add some heat to it like a heat pillow that may ease the pain and rest

Yes, it will ache. I don't think I would call it severely..but it will be sore.
