I want one but I already have one. Poor thing! They should probably find a pound that dosn't kill them so they still have a chance. I think they should be able to keep they're pit. Well good luck!

I did a search on google.com and found the following resources you could try:

Casa del Toro Pit Bull Rescue
Franklin, IN 46131 (317) 346-0391 or (317) 635-8165

Pit Bull Rescue Central at www.pbrc.net/home.html

ASTRO: American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Rescue Organization at www.pbrc.net/dogpages/north/astro4789.html

If these organizations can't help you, perhaps you can try the Humane Society for the county in which you live. If they can't take the pit bull, maybe they can refer you to an organization who can.

I wish you the best in finding a good home for your pet.

I do not know if such a rescue in Indiana exists.. but you shouild take a picture of your pit and take it to several of your local vet offices and they can assist in getting a home for the pit...OR the Vet office should be able tlo assist them in find a pit bull rescue there... Good luck and really hope a home can be found because I think pit bulls have been given a bad name and it is NOT their fault.

I'm not from IN, but is there a Human Society or a vet you can call in your area that can recommend a "No Kill Shelter"? You sound concerned, and I want to thank you for caring so much as to inquire about it. I wish I could help you out. Good luck.

can't take in another animal myself, but there is a bull-breed rescue group in franklin called casa del toro. their website is: www.casadeltoro.org or email them at info@casadeltoro.org . also often the local humane society/shelter will list a "courtesy" posting to help owners find a new home without actually placing the dog in the shelter if you ask nicely....

Tell them to put an ad in the local newspaper, explaining the situation. Usually ads like that are free, put it in the lost & found. Put a sign in the local pet stores, with a picture.
