they should have set aside about 10 billion and built a solid concrete wall about 30 feet tall, and polished to a glass like outer finish so it would be impossible to climb, then about 15 feet on this side of the border, build the 10 foot chain link fence with razor wire on top, and put land mines in between the two fences.... lets see the illegals get in now

Building a wall isn't going to help or solve anything. First off, did no one watch that AC 360 with the tunnel under the border? It had freaking lights in it!! There are plenty of other ways to get into the US without actually crossing the border. Second, as the great philosopher House once said you wake up, your paint is peeling and your water is boiling what do you fix first (or something like that) None of it because the building is on fire. We can't treat the symptoms, we have to treat the cause. The reason why people are coming to the US is because their our country generally offers better and higher paying jobs. Generally. If we help other countries to stablize themselves (which I'm not saying we should because we have enough problems in our own country, as shown by Hurricane Katrina, the gap between the wealthy and the poor, and the apathy all to prevalent in our nation) then we wouldn't have such a big problem with illegal immigrants. Third, not all of the immigrants are coming from Mexico, what about Canada? Fourth, we're already having problems with Mexico, do you think building a giant wall will help? Fifth, (I think) we are increasingly alone in this world. We can't afford to isolate ourselves. That's what building a fence will do. Okay. I'm done for now.... Think it over people.
Oh and because it's a complete waste of two billion dollars when people are dying because of heat waves, hurricanes, AIDS, and other things and nothing is being done to help them.

That was part of the Iraq war budget bill. That bill had other additional provisions in it. The first was more money for border security. The rest I think is no licenses for illegals. These are the rest:
lol, the pro-criminals are crushed after losing again. You haven't seen anything yet.

Two billion dollars that could have spent on playgrounds, indigent health care, food pantries, school supplies.........and those are just in the thousands.
How about welfare reform, education reform.......
OH and lets not forget...............a big fat paycheck for the politicians YOU voted in that have screwed US for so long. I am sure there are a few subsidies in the "set aside" to line their pockets.

mexico is on he verge of a civil war. it's already a narco state. when things do implode, which they will, where do you think the uneducated hordes will run? you'll wake up one morning with a burro grazing on your lawn and a taco stand on your sidewalk.
