No I wouldn't, and yes the dog could die. Some people might take this question the wrong way, I'm going to give you the benefit of a doubt. Are you asking what would happen if your dog ate plastic, would it die? Well it depends on how big of a piece and whats it from. If your dog ate a plastic bag, then I suggest taking him/her to the vet asap.

Well the majority of pet food companies including Iams, Science Diet, Purina, Pedigree, Royal Canin, etc. as well as all of the grocery store food varieties will at some point have plastic in them. When companies like these purchase their meat/by-products from rendering plants, they get it how it came in. So if a vet sent a bunch of euthanized animals to the rendering plant in bags or with collars on, all of that will end up in the pet food.

I worked at a pet supply company years ago that sold Eukanuba (the owner is now phasing it out and only carrying Innova, Canidae, Eagle Pack Hoslistic). The number of times I had people returning food with bits of plastic and other foreign objects was ridiculous and disgusting.

I cannot say whether or not eating plastic will directly kill your dog but it does not surprise me that dogs who are fed low quality foods have such higher rates of cancer, etc. Plastics are chemicals, chemicals can cause cancer. Why people continue to feed these low quality foods amazes me when there is so much information out their identifying how bad they are.

Anyways, keep your dog away from plastic. It isn't good for them.

Nope, I have a rotty puppy who eats everything from wood chips to plastic to the comforter on my bed. Trust me, a little plastic is ok. Just make sure you dog doesn't injest to much because sometimes plastic can get lodged in the intestine and your dog will have to go to surgery. Trust me...I had a dog once who tried to eat the siding off my house!

He may not die immediately but with enough of it over a short period of time, his system would get blocked up and then toxins would start to set in etc. Which in turn all of this would lead to an expired dog or a vet bill no one would want who is on low or even average income. Not to mention meds and treatments afterwards. So in ending my answer, I say, yes.

If you are referring to plastic bags.. YES, it could get messed up in the digestive system and cause death. I hope you are not intentionally feeding your dog plastic.. that would be cruel.

dogs are known for eating foreign objects, but you shouldn't feed them things like that on purpose. Wouldn't you feel bad if you hurt your dog by doing something so dumb?

It would wrap around its intestine and cause a blockage.

Are you as stupid as your question?
