People say that they make you look dirty and like you don't know how to take care of yourself, but really, you can have dreds and still be perfectly clean. You just have to take care of them properly. If you like them, and am thinking about having them, then go ahead. i think they look cool.

A friend of mine who is a beautician told me that dreadlock hair is HORRIBLE. A new client came to her one day to get his dreadlocks cut off. She said his hair was FULL of dirt and bugs of all kinds. She was totally grossed out! She ultimately ended up, after cutting as much as she could with scissors, shaving his head with clippers.

WONDERFUL... DON'T LISTEN TO THE REST... I had mine for 5 years and I think I'm gonna grow them again... low maintainence.. versatile.. wash and go... and not expensive... I miss my locs so much :(
But it's not what we think... it's what you think :)... despite the overwhelming feeling in this room about them... all walks of life can sport locks.. they are not dirty.... though there are some that don't know how to keep them and give the rest of us a bad name. To each his/her own.

there is no such thing as dread lock hair,oh u mean locks, locked hair. its not a matter if it is good r bad its a matter of if u like it r not that's the only thing that matters it doesn't matter what any one else thinks

i have dreads for five year and still going i love it it always clean and it not bad at all u can style it anyway u can i dont know why people thing it dirty i dont have no bug in it lol
