My child's elementary school had a "Parade of Nations" on UN Day. Children were allowed to wear native costumes from their country of origin (normally they wear school uniforms). American children could either wear something symbolizing their American heritage or else they could wear native costumes symbolizing their ethnic heritage. The children made flags for their country and each country had a large poster with the name of their country written in English & that country's language. The children lined up behind their respective flags/posters and marched around the school grounds. They recited the UN's list of children's rights and they sung songs in English, Spanish & French (the foreign languages taught at her school). They didn't have any ethnic foods or games because they also do an International Fair at end of the year which includes those items.

For a preschool class, I'd offer identification of countries of children's origins on a map or globe, exposure to the flags, foods, songs, and games of those countries. I'd discuss foreign languages and teach basic words (hello, goodbye, mom, dad, please, thank you) for the various countries represented at the school. I'd ask families to bring in traditional clothing and artwork/crafts to show the children...if you could simplify some of those for kids' art projects even better (4 yr olds can do simple origami for example). And of course a discussion about how even though we may appear different we are all very similar and need the same things (food, shelter, love). :-)

Because the ones persons are in general now not veterans. Real homeless veterans are just about chased down and drug into Outreach Centers run by way of the VA. The truly obstacle your query demonstrates is the truth that there are so few persons in our society that comprehend some thing approximately army carrier that you just cannot spot the false veterans. In addition - given that veterans get extra sympathy than your run of the mill substance abuser - the homeless advocates will inflate the numbers of homeless veterans so as to at ease extra investment. The subsequent time you notice an individual claiming to be a homeless veteran, I propose that you just uncover a _real_ veteran to speak to that man or woman for a couple of mins. ninety% of the time the truly veteran will out the opposite man as a fraud. .

Not sure I completely understand your question, but I'll give it a try. I think you are asking how to teach pre-schoolers about different countries. Show them traditional costumes from different places, teach them children's songs from the countries. Maybe make snacks from different countries. You can probably find videos by searching ask.com or google.com, hope this helps.
