That would be hard to answer. There are many cultures that have numerous gods. I am Navajo and we have a lot of gods. I can't even name them all myself. Consider that different tribes and peoples have their own gods. It will add up across the many cultures all over the world. Even the most educated cannot place a definite number on how many gods we as humans know.

This is = to the number of people there are, God is a concept people invented and no 2 people define it exactly the same.
Even people that deny the existence of god or say the concept is defined in some holy book will differ a bit if you question them enough.

Let the Bible answer those questions for you.

1 Corinthians 8:5,6 . " For even though there are those who are called “gods,” whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” 6 there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and we through him."

Psalms 83:18 "18 That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth."

Isa.43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside Me there is no saviour. Isa.43:12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are My witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.

Isa.44:8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside Me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.

Isa.45:21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside Me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside Me. Isa.45:22 Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

Isa.46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like Me, Isa.46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure:

One. He is the Alpha and Omega. He is, was, and always will be. Any others are false gods and idols made by man.
