how do you know when to change bottle nipples from slow to fast flow?

I know some bottle makers have already made bottle nipples in stges- stage 1 for newbies, stage 2 for middle babies, and stage 3 for the older ones.

You should get the faster flowing ones when your baby starts to appear as if they arent getting enough to eat, usually 3-5 months old. Some parents get larger opened nipples when the child is at the age when they can eat cereal because they put it in the bottles. I say go off of your childs cues and go from there!

stage 2 is for 3-6mos. stage 3 nipples for 6mos and older. Some manufacturers such as Avent and Playtex have a variable flow nipple you can adjust.
