Yes....it is bad etiquette not to salute the pizza hut workers upon entering the building.
and........you can be fined too.
I honestly think they do need body guards, ever since Diego let his sideburns grow and went to using pomade on his bouffant...folks think he is Elvis.

No, but they deserve a salute for making the worlds best pizza available to everybody.

Not only should you salute said Pizza Hut employees, but it is also customary to hire the Blue Angels to fly overhead and put up a dazzling display of aero-stunts while unfurling a large banner reading: "Mission Accomplished!", or (if the shoe fits): "Mission a Deep-Dish!".

Yes, and if you do not salute them they are instructed to kill you with the new firearms they are required to carry since the bodyguards were laid off.
