PLEASE only serious answers from bird owners thank you!!!!

My quaker has been sneezing the last few days, once or twice a day, and leaving a tiny bit of wetness on his nose feathers. should i be concerned for his health and well-being and take him to vet? help!!! hes never done this before!!!!!

oh and i forgot to add if the sneezing could be brought on by him being too cold from our air conditioner????

negative on the air conditioner. My quaker lives with us in Alaska and it gets pretty darn cold in the house sometimes. Just dont put him right in the breeze. Ive neer seen my bird sneeze more that once in a great while, so I suggest see a vet. Remember birds try to hide their illness, its part of their instinct.

I would say take him to the vet. Like the other posters said, discharge isnt a good sign and needs immediate attention. Try and keep him in a warm room until the cold goes away.

Ok calm down I can help you.

A parrot can get a cold just like a human can. However because you say discharge is happening, that can be bad and cause respitory prblems for your bird.

I would advise you to have an appointment with your avian veterinarian.

if you love him, do the right thing and take him to the vet, or call a vet..there may be a vet in your area that has an on call thingy and can help you...I hope for him and you the best
