No, dragons and demons are two entirely different creatures. Demons are purely Judeo-Christian-Islam constructs, created to serve as scapegoats for people's fears. Dragons were around in various folklore long before the advent of even Judaism and were revered as wise power creatures both good and evil, or in most cases neutral.

I have seen them portrayed that way, but prefer nice dragons.
I was born under the sign of the dragon in the year of the dragon in Chinese astrology. Funny thing is, when my aunt read the description of a "double dragon", it fits me very well compared to descriptions of other combinations.

A dragon is a mythical animal that embodies different things to different cultures. In the West, with its monotheistic tendency to see anything in nature as evil, dragons, the most powerful creatures in nature (mythical) iare seen as evil (ie "Dragonslayer"). In the east, Asian dragons are believed to be powerfully benevolent messengers of heaven.

There are, depending on what culture you are studying. As far as a fantasy realm dragon, that would be up to the creator or the realm. Some dragons are spirit guides, some are beasts of burden, some are guardians.
