Feeling Froggy almost got it right...

Every time someone asks "What's that awful smell?", that's when I bathe myself! My dog licks himself once in a while, that ought to be enough.

Once a month...twice/three times if your dog spends a lot of time on the furniture or in your bed. Giving your dog frequent baths takes a lot of the natural oils out of their skin, making their skin really dry and really itchy.

It depends on what type of dog it is, where it lives, etc. Rule of thumb for larger inside dogs is once a week. Smaller inside dogs every 2 weeks.

Oh and I bet by thier reply that 4kids4dogs house stinks!!! (once or twice a year)?????

i agree with the person who said you should wash it when it smells.
anything more than that seems like too much to me.

if you like giving your dog a bath, do it more often.....
i don't know.
my dog hates baths and he usually doesn't get very dirty.

you might like to get your dog groomed if his hair gets matted instead of having him washed. it's difficult to wash out the dirt that gets stuck in there.

Depends on how big and how much it gets into stuff. They're fairly self maintaining. Brushing is far more important.

I'd say every two weeks, depending on what it got into, or how it smells!
