When my parents left us kids home alone, once we were old enough, they expected their house to be in order and everything "Ok" when they got back.

Do we really need to tare the house apart?

I sort of agree. The Tribulation comes AFTER the rapture and the Second Coming is supposed to be a very long time after that. So it's not really what Christians are waiting for now but what people who supposedly become Christians after that are waiting for.

We don't know that the Second Coming will be at "humanity's worst hour."

The only thing we know, based on what Jesus said, is that it will happen when we least expect it.

Whether that happens at our worst hour, or some other time, is anyone's guess.

But if it does happen at our worst hour, perhaps it will be because that's when humanity will most need Jesus!

Because humanity is incapable of governing itself propery. He's letting us prove this to ourselves before He steps in.
