An infant that dies will not go to hell. There is an age that reason comes into it and you start to be held responsible for yourself. Sources vary on what age that is.
When you are old enough to start asking these questions and reading the Bible, you are old enough to start making an intelligent choices. At that point, you need to decide if you believe or not.
The Bible does say that the father's sins are visited on the child. However, I think you can get past this with prayer and belief.
True Christians should reach out to others. That's part of the reason I am answering this question. Please talk to someone who believes to help you look for answers to your questions and attend church. If you truly seek God, you will find many answers. However, we are not meant to know everything.

Being saved just just basically means you accept Jesus as your savor and not some other God. I personally believe in God and not the church because they do seem to judge people wrongly. We should care about each other regardless of what others think or say about a person, Gods way. Let him do the judging because he can see past the superficial things about us, straight into the heart. The people that are looked down on in life are at the highest in heaven were the ones that are looked up to in life will be at the lowest.

No, we were born in sin, but we don't have to stay that way. Jesus died on the cross for those very sins, and all of our sins, if we only believe. I do reach out to others and tell them of Jesus' love for them. I also think about how terrible Hell will be, and I am so thankful that I AM saved and will spend eternity with Jesus. All you have to do is be sincere, pray, and ask for your sins to be forgiven...in His Name. We can never do anything so terrible that Jesus will not forgive us. Isn't that wonderful? I hope to see you in Heaven!

About Hell, I just answered this, if you want the scriptures, there is NO burning hell, click tina, and a recent question; ..'Question on Religion"..by scarlet.. if you want to.
We need to be saved from everlasting death. The wages of sin is death. We inherited this from Adam. Jesus and God will adopt us if we believe Jesus is God's Son and paid the price to get us out of eternal death, Jesus is the second Adam. We can inherit everlasting life when we accept him as the Eternal Father; Isaiah 9:6. He is also our brother.
Many Christians are trying to bear witness to Jesus on this web site and elsewhere. That is our assignment...best wishes...

The reason why we all need to be saved is because we all sin.
You do not suffer because of your fathers sins, but your own. Salvation is not a hard concept. All you have to do is ask forgiveness of your sins and God will forgive you. The point is, you have to give God permission to come into your life, he will not run your life for you. Salvation is a relationship like any other. You have to talk to him like a friend. If you trust in him, you will not be thrown into the fire, just trust in him. That is why Jesus allowed himself to be tortured and killed, so that you can be saved. With all his heart, Jesus does not want anyone to be thrown into the fire, but we must see the error in our ways. That way, we can be free to love him and each other without condition.

First:
1) You need to be saved through the acknowledgment that YHVHSHUA (commonly known as Jesus, which is not really his name) is your Messiah, and Personal Savior. By His blood He came to deliver us, and allow a bridge unto the Father.
2)It is not like putting a man in jail because his father screwed up. We are born with sin, because of the fall of man. Adam (Hebrew word for man), fell into temptation. As do we all. That is why YHVHSHUA came as a FINAL SACRIFICE for us. He was our perfect PASSOVER LAMB (not on easter, which is pagan).
3) The reason that more don't reach out all the time when they know that eternal fire is the result when you don't repent, is because YHVH has decided who will be his chosen. He has given us a free will to choose. He knows who will accept Him and who won't. Even as I write this, many will rebel at the fact that I call Him YHVH instead of LORD, which is derived from a false god. This is why more don't reach out.
4) Yes they will burn and be on fire forever. YHVH (pronounced YAH-VEH, as in Hallelu-YAH, not JAH) created us out of love, and He knows those that choose not to worship Him. Its no secret as to who HE is. Fall in love with YHVHSHUA and you shall see eternal life!!! Do not be deceived by the world and its philosophies!

we need to be saved from ourselves. we, as humans, can never reach the level of perfection. sinfulness is detestable in the sight of God, therefore, we must be saved from our own imperfection, by the amazing-awesomeness of Jesus. sinful nature can be noted as early as two years of age, when an insubordinance appears. later, sins become larger and more...i don't know. anyways, it's not just your parents that make mistakes. you make them too. if you say you don't, then there ya go! there's one right there.
i'm not really sure what kind of experience or interaction you have had with other Christians, but I, being one, make an effort to reach out. many of the others that I know also seek to glorify God through there life, so that others might come to know Him. we don't want to condemn others to the that painful "forever." but, if they won't accept, we can't force it upon them.

there's only assumptions about this "saved" thing... truthfully, this claim means to save the soul, purify it and let it enter heaven. but (a big but)... this are only assumptions from many an - interpretations of the holy bible's word. each preacher/priest has different attack on this subject. to say the least we were born with sin also came from the context of the holy bible. only an assumption. for if each was born with sin, does this mean all saints are sinners to (once)? all popes are sinners too? there's no sense in such a context... imagine, you do penance, do confessions... and then after a week, you straddle inside the confessional box and ask for absolution... and it goes and and on. promising not to be tempted yet still committing to it... c'mon...
who says to die without jesus in your heart, you'd go to hell? there is not a single truth on this claim... many people die by accidents everyday yet they never had the last rites performed to them... and the last rites is the final absolution where you are totally absolve of all your sins... supposing he or she had just came from a tryst, would he be allowed heaven? yet he was a contributor to his society, doing good deeds for his neighbor...
here's the thing, faith is something no one can take away from you (like knowledge, fundamental values, etc...). if embedded deep inside of you, that is God would judge us... it doesnt matter if you never went to church, or hear mass (many perform this rites yet upon leaving the church, the lesson heard in a mass is never put into practice).. it's how you hold GOD inside of you... you can be anywhere, and still pray and communicate with the Lord...
Remember, a true christian practices his faith without prejudice to his neighbor. he reaches out to those in need, being righteous in manners of living in this world, compassion for those who badly seeks it, respecting one's choice of faith and religion, being humble in the ways taught by the lord.... that is what a true christian should be.
(by the way, i'm a ROMAN CATHOLIC)

Not all denominations have the concept of "original sin" that you describe.
Also, there are many variations among denominations about what "salvation" means and how it is attained --as well as differences between what salvation meant in the Bible and what it tends to mean nowadays.
And finally, there are a range of understandings about what happens after we die -- many denominations do not have this harsh view of eternal pain and punishment.

PLEASE LISTEN these are all good questions.
they can all be answered. BUT you want the answers to be the truth!!! Nothing is worse than being taught false doctrine! Go to the listed site click on the real answers tab at the top, scroll down to (understanding the new covenant) this is a good place to start. Then ask god to help you understand. There are many sites that teach lies. Beware. and God bless
