I asked this question once before but haven't gotten a good answer.

I love labs because of their intelligence and temperment but live in a big city and a lab would be a challenge. Any suggestions?

you could try a Lab Retriever. mix. They are really common. They look just like a lab, only smaller. I have one, and he is soooo smart. he is the best behaved dog I have even owned. His back is about up to my knee and he weights 58 pounds. He has all the energy of a lab, but knows when to use it, and has webbed feet for swimming and everything. Hope this helps.

Not cockers!!! They are hairy and need to see the groomer, they have ear problems, they have poor temperments, eye problems.... HEY, they ARE a lot like Labs...except the hair part!!!
