Bit torrent - you can, however, use Sharaza as your torrent download manager. Some versions are pretty useful at this.
(check out torrent spy etc.)
If you are really stuck on P2P's, there is software available, that will open up your Chosen P2P, too all the P2P networks, you select.
eg.(e-mule, gnutella, limewire, Sharaza)
PS. - the same software removes all that nasty spyware crap.
Then since you get access to them all from one. You just have to decide who has the GUI that you are most happy with.
One final tip get an old computer or swap hard drive or ghost your system prior to getting into P2P downloading in a big way cause there is a lot of nasty stuff out there.
