Sweetheart, I know what you are going through, and it is a difficult time for you. I've lived the millitary life since childhood through the present, and the emotions you feel, are exactly what I feel, when he goes away. Both my spouse, and son are honoring the call. You cry when you need to, but be strong when they call you. They are uders stress like you, and need to know that you are alright. Pray, join a support group for millitay, and know that he loves you. Send him pictures, care packages, and let him know that you are awaiting his return. Should you need a friend, I am here. Feel free to contact me. Hugs

it's probably because of your fiancee. I sorta know how you feel, same thing with me and fire trucks. My boyfriend is a wildland fire fighter and is gone for periods of time without notice. You just gotta try and be strong. Go out with some friends and do something fun, rent some funny movies. I don't think there is a lot I can say, or many other people here, that can really help. I'm sorry you have to have those emotional comings and goings, they are not fun. You'll be okay. =)

I believe you know the answer-- it brings up emotions connected with your worries about your fiancee. You miss him/her and on top of that he or she is in a life threatening and life altering situation. Keep strong and think about going to the support groups they offer through the army for those left behind.

There is nothing wrong with you at all. I'm proud of you to admit this, it shows your love for him and your country. After my time in the service, I get emotional when the Anthem is played at a game even if I hear it on TV. Seeing Soldiers, Airman, Marines, Sailors and Coast Guardsmen coming home I get teary eyed. You realize what we have and the cost of freedom herself. Go forth and be proud.

It's hard to help... it's not like I can ban camoflage colors in the country, or earth. I feel for you though, but just remember that your fiancee is doing a very good thing, and that he is being watched out for by the higher being in this world.

I think you pretty much answered your own question. Is he away on duty? Seeing camoflauge probably just triggers something in your mind about your fiance...which makes you going into protective mode, because you want him to be safe. Maybe going to talk to a counselor or psychologist might help you, just to talk about what you're thinking about.

and you thought it was necessary to ask people about it on Yahoo? how many people do you think have husbands, brother, sisters, cousins etc. all currently in Iraq? i'm sorry but are you looking for attention? in 2003 my boyfriend died over there after being there for a year and a half so, you just gotta learn to deal with it.

And because of the war, it's in style, too.

Try to understand that it's not about the soldiers, or your soldier, but a fashion statement. Try to remind yourself that it's not personal.

I wouldn't wear camo because I think it's disrespectful to soldiers and people left behind.

Oh, and the idea of getting help--counseling--isn't a bad one, either. "They also serve who stay and wait..."
