I really hope there will be an extra seat, my son is graduating on Aug 11. He has 3 Tickets, however, Myself, my husband, my son and my daughter are all flying out there, in hopes there will be an extra seat, and hopefully spend a day or two with him before he leaves for Pensacola. I know he may have to stand watch one day.....but man, I'd sooo love to see him on both weekend days. We have only been able to have one phone conversation, for 8 minutes, in the past 8 weeks.......

Oh I hope y'all are able to come to Pensacola to visit him while he is here. As far as available seating, I don't think you'll have a problem.

I am not sure many things have changed over the years but when I went to boot camp in Great Lakes there was plenty of seating because not all families can attend the graduation. If you want to be sure how about asking your local recruiter they may have a better Idea than I do. No matter what Let me say how proud I am and hope that his career will be a great one. The hard part is now over it gets much better from now on.

In this heat, there may be more available than you know. There are many graduating that their family lives too far away to attend, so I really don't see a major problem. Have your son check with others in his flight ( or what ever navy calls them). You probably won't get a lot of time with your son. I was out of basic and on the bus the next morning.

I just asked several of my enlisted who graduated from Great Lakes last year and they assure me that there will be plenty of room for your entire family as the Navy uses the blimp hangers there for large ceremonies such as graduations.
