What do Muslims believe in? and why?

We believe in One and only One God and He is Allah. And that Prophet Mohammed is His messenger. We follow our Prophets teachings - called Sunnah. And most importantly our Holy book The Holy Quran.
If you read the Quran with meaning you will understand that it could not have possibly be written by a human. Things mentioned in the Quran were discovered only hundreds of years later. It only proves that the Quran is truly a word of God. Also, once a Muslim has read and understood what is written in the Quran he can easily understand that it is the truth and therefore becomes a believer.

Regarding Cris's answer, I would like to add one more line from the same Surah.
"If they had observed the Torah and the Gospel and that which was revealed unto them from their Lord, they would surely have been nourished from above them and from beneath their feet. Among them there are people who are moderate, but many of them are of evil conduct."
So, Islam isn't teaching us to hate all Jews. There those who are righteous. But then again, there are also those who are evil doers. Jews themselves hate Muslims and many of them have been torturing innocent Muslims of Palestine. And now there is a war in which innocent Lebanese civilians are being killed.

Muslims believe in one suprem Almighty God. God in Arabic is called "Allah". The have belief in the Angels, Jinns, previous revelations of Jesus, Moses, etc., and the last day of Judgement. Do not listen to these bigots. Muslims believe that Muhammad is the last messenger of God, the final Messiah. Muslims believe in their religion and their teachings because God has given his teachings to the people of the world starting with the Arabs of Mecca from Muhammad.

We beleive in Allah,teh Almighty and Muhammad,the messenger of God.We also believe in the teachings of all our prophets and that life is not eternal and there is judgement day.All of us who have sinned will eventually be punished by God.We,Muslims believe in peace and unity and non-violence among all our divine values.Often we have been looked down upon intolerant people who create lies about us as been a destructive religion..but that's far from the truth.Our prophet teaches us to live in peace with our neighbours who are of other religions.Islam is the perfection of the Bible and Judaism as well.

The answer is Islam is a religion and culture of death and hatred:

The Qur'an, Surah V 51 says; O you who believe! do not take the Jew and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.

In the Qur'an's Surah IX, v.30 it also says: And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!

Islam teaches Muslims to hate and destroy Jews and Christians. It is not a religion of love and tolerance for their brother human beings. They are to "Strike the infidel at the neck"
